BUGS everywhere! Inside room, outside of room, everywhere. The room did not even have windows in it. For a “luxury” resort, they failed miserably. No coffee maker, limited water, tv did not work, no wash clothes provided, even after asking housekeeping repeatedly. The property amenities aside from the room itself, were amazing. However, the good did not outweigh the bad. I will not be back.

Still a lot of construction going on in the area and you need to rent a golf cart to get into town but the private beach was really cool (just required a 15 min boat ride). Lots of local shops and restaurants and was pretty quiet.

We didn’t receive cleaning or towels for multiple days we left voicemails we went to front desk in person and I filed a complaint with Hilton honors. They refused to come clean the room until the last day when I had reported them to Hilton honors. So we went three full days with clean sheets or towels. The windows have cobwebs in them I have photos. And there are sugar ants on the bed and on the desk and kitchen counter. A dead lizard was smashed between the door and left there. No matter how many times we asked they do not move to clean here they just say ok to get you to leave the front desk. There is a lot of construction around the property that makes it look like a junk yard. everyone moves extremely slow here it’s super weird and not like any other Hilton property we have stayed at before we have never been so disregarded. Everything is also nickel and dimes. You want a hotel shuttle to and from airport that is not included and an extra fee. For the golf cart was 180 for two days rental. When we have stayed at other resorts where hotel shuttles and golf carts are included in the price. Here they make the nightly price low but everything else will raise that price. There is a full kitchen but no microwave which makes no sense either.

Things I loved: I really loved the rooms and the service. The shower is huge! Everyone was super friendly and helped us make dinner reservations out in town. I loved the pool club and how easily accessible everything is. I loved driving around n golf carts all weekend. The sushi restaurant was really good and the margartias were amazing! If you're out in town, don't forget to get a coconut mojito! Things I did not love: -no full length mirror anywhere in the room -the noise of the hotel workers starting at 8am and how loud the golf carts are going past every 5 minutes. It's quiet on Sundays! -my partner was really upset there was not a luggage stand (personally I didn't mind) -the beach club is a really cool concept, but in reality it's still being built and I was pretty disappointed when we arrived when compared to the pictures -THE MASSAGE RATES - honestly, we should've just gotten a beach massage for 30 bucks, but we booked them prior to arrival. it ended up being a little over $600 after taxes and fees for a couples massage. The massages were good!

Just what the doctor ordered, rest and relaxation. Staff was friendly. Answered all of my questions not only about the hotel but life on the island.

Liked the private beach. Room on the other hand was not clean, floors were dirty and had roaches and ants. Room smelt like sewage, disgusting.

Very beautiful and quiet property. Little casitas are a cute concept. Staff was super duper friendly. Only thing I have bad to say is that our a/c kept going out. It was an issue with the breaker box. We figured it out the last night we were there. Would book again.

We have an incident with a big cockroach inside the room, not fun it all. And the door entrance battery not working properly😩 they fixed but not expected in a expensive stay.

The room was dark with dull lighting, one of the few lights went on and off at will. Some of the shades did not go up to allow desperately needed sunlight in. The floor had a big buckle that causes us to trip until we adapted. They have no racks for towels, and one hook in the bathroom for a wet towel. There was no chest of draws for clothing and 2 short hanging racks about 8 inches each. We had to rummage through a stack of towels and clothing in the dark. The draws on each side of the bed can only hold watches, phones and a few socks. The food at the restaurant was expensive for what you got so we had to go into town which was a bumpy ride taking about 20 minutes on a golf cart. You can't go to the beach spontaneously, you have to book a boat ride which goes every hour and takes about 30 min each way (about 15 minute ride waiting inline to board.) If it is busy, book the boat ride or you will not be able to get on although the resort was not busy during my stay. There are many Americans there so prices are jacked up, I feel I can get more for my money elsewhere. The gym was nice and the most of the employees were very accommodating. They have mosquito spray available since it is a tropical environment. The coffee in the room was a teapot and powdered coffee. They offer free coffee at the main building until about 11:00 AM. That coffee was very good.

I booked this place after watching several videos about it on YouTube. There is a big difference between what Luis advertised and what is reality. Upon arrival I was met with a flood in my room. The floor was visibly wet and the room smelled moldy. Our bellman returned us to the main house to rectify the problem. The staff at the front desk seemed disinterested in our issue but the bellman contacted a manager who gave us a comparable room. The activities advertised and the amenities advertised were not completely correct. There is no night life on this resort with mentioning. The TVs are all steaming and completely dependent on WiFi. There was a power surge that disabled the in room phones and TVs for a few hours. Housekeeping is available upon request but takes forever to come to the room. The food at this place is not Caribbean at all but a cheap imitation. The resort is dusty from the unpacked gravel roads so it’s wise to keep everything of if the ground. Is you have dark clothes you will need dry cleaning when you get home. The rooms are bungalow type rooms on the well disguised timeshare facility but there in now microwaves or kitchens. They provide no utensils in what appears to be counters in the rooms but there useless. There is a Murphy type table that is attached to a countertop but there is no chairs or stools in the room so where do we eat at? The rooms have wooden shudders on all windows but there is only a screen on the exterior for the bugs.

My husband and I recently stayed here for my birthday trip to Belize. It was really lovely there. The staff was out every morning very early doing landscaping and maintenance. Our one bedroom cottage was perfect for us. It was very clean, the AC was much appreciated, and the bed was comfortable. The only downside is that the windows are always open. They are screened with plantation shutters on the inside. It's nice to hear the birds as it does feel like you are out in the rainforest. This also means that you hear the golf carts going by, and pretty much everyone on property does the golf carts as it means you can also get into San Pedro easily. The staff was VERY friendly, always smiling, and so helpful. The pool is beautiful, the Pool Club (on property but separate from Mahogany Bay) was our favorite! It is surrounded by palm trees and bamboo...loved it. I will also say that the emails I sent the property about airport transportation and questions about the private beach (which is EXCEPTIONAL) were answered quickly and professionally. This was an outstanding experience for us. We hope to come back one day and see how the property has developed!

Stayed in a one bed one bath cottage. No windows. Only wooden plantation shutters and screens which do not block noise from golf carts speeding thru the property. So loud at night. No housekeeping and you are charged for it. USD 150.00. Includes 10 min boat ride to private beach which is nice. Cash bar. Cabanas are extra. Rent a golf cart (100 USD a day) to explore the peninsula. Secret beach is touristy and so is Sandy Toes and Palampas. Truck Stop and Becky’s are good. Took ferry to/from—-its 2hrs one way. Felt very safe everywhere. Solo woman traveler.
