Wonderful hotel, with wonderful staff. Sadly the room was a huge let down. Impossible set of stairs to navigate to get to the room. The room itself was far too small for what was being charged. A little disappointing truth be told.

This place is an absolute gem! My husband and I truly enjoyed this venue for our last few days in Plettenburg Baii! The venue is absolutely beautiful but I can say that this place wouldn’t be as beautiful as it was without the great staff. The service given was superb and it truly felt like home being there!

Not as advertised. Was supposed to have a sea view from our room. Had two windows in our room. One was a skylight and the other was looking into the property next door. Unsafe stairs to get to our room. WiFi kept dropping. Smell of smoke from the fire in our room which lingered on our clothes for the rest of our trip in South Africa. Breakfast was poor, stale crackers, dried out fruit. Ordered the flapjacks which came with maple syrup and was told they had run out of maple syrup. On check in we were given a tour of the hotel, asked if we would like to reserve a table for dinner, we said we would. Asked which table we would like, picked it (beside the fire). Came to dinner at our reserved time and our table was giving away. Giving a table in a draft so spent our meal freezing. No apologies made by staff but had the cheek to ask for a tip when paying.

Lovely stay

This hotel is beautifully designed and maintained. The dinning room has wonderful views over the bay. The quality of the food and its presentation are outstanding.

Great potential but disappointing. At check in, we were brought to 4 different rooms - one of which was occupied, before being brought to the correct room. This was okay and we were given a bottle of wine as an apology and offered welcome drinks in our room. The drinks did not arrive, we had to go downstairs after waiting for an hour. The room was lovely and we had been left chocolates however it was noisy - I think there may have been some sort of machine directly under our room? Sounded like a washing machine. Dinner was on the pricier side but nice and service at dinner good. Breakfast service wasn’t great, we were directed to a table then had to ask for a menu and coffee after 10 minutes of waiting. Our order was taken and then was wrong when it arrived. We were not asked how our stay was at check out. We still had a lovely time but compared to some of the other fantastic hotels we have stayed in along the garden route, this one was disappointing.

WOW WOW WOW! What a GORGEOUS property! The view of Plettenberg Bay from our room and the pool area cannot be matched. The hotel is unique and special and the service was fantastic from all staff. Warm, friendly greetings from every single person we met, and no request was too much. The food was delicious, the bed was comfortable , the room was gorgeous. A MUST stay if going to Plett.

The hotel was lovely, had previously been for a wedding but hadn’t stayed the night. We have lovely large room with a large outdoor terrace. The view over Lookout Beach from the dinning area and up the river are beautiful. Had the calamari and chicken burger for dinner and they were good.

Magnificent location. Staff were pleasant and courteous. We came to the restaurant before it was officially open for breakfast, but it was not a problem and we ordered and were served efficiently.

A nice stay with good facilities. Front of house staff were very pleasant but waiting staff were quite rude at times. Food was not 5 star, more average to good. Everything else was fine and if you want a more pleasurable stay simply book into other significantly better restaurants in the area.

We had an incredible stay at Sky Villa. The views are unbelievable and the pool/bar area along with the restaurant are phenomenal. Gorgeous blue pool and great gardens. The rooms are clean and perfectly located with views from the balcony. Service was good. Overall a fantastic stay. Will be back.

The internet does NOT do this place justice. 😍 It’s by far one of the best places with an AMAZING VIEWS on the Garden Route. I must say the breakfast was under whelming, they didn’t have muesli and the juice quality was not so great. Upon check-out payment had not been allocated and this was a bit annoying as payments usually come through IMMEDIATELY when booking through the app.

This was our first time at Sky Villa - but certainly not our last. From the moment we arrived we felt special - all the staff go out of their way to go the extra mile, the actual hotel is pristine, the room is spacious and comfortable and the views are to die for! The finer details were certainly noticed and the general atmosphere makes you want to stay there and never leave - despite all the other surrounding attractions. We cannot wait to return soon!

Beautiful property, lovely staff, great views. BUT, management needs to train the staff who, with the best will in the world, can't be expected to know the expectations of people paying hundreds of dollars per night for a room in a generally low-cost area. It should have been wonderful, and it wasn't, by far.
