No hotel/riad sign on street nor inside; perhaps not a registered hotel No room numbers Very poor breakfast, no fruit; nice service, bread and coffee; only one egg Location on google maps is wrong; without travel agency help I would not have found it, I would not have been able to get to it, especially as there is no road access, just dim, dirty narrow complicated alleyways all with no signage Small rooms Very poor lighting, dark Poor cleaning, dirty carpets No phone in room No bar as advertised Inaccessible room during rain, with walkway and stairwell flooded No key given to front door, despite asking with them saying someone is available 24/7 to let me in. But no one there one night just after 11pm to let us in (night staff had gone to sleep and turned his phone off. Was without internet, meaning he was off site. What kind of security is that? Woke up neighbour. Ultimately, after knocking repeatedly and loudly for 15+ minutes two other guests came to let us in. Staff didn’t even wake, but likely no one was there. Nice people/staff but incompetent, except for breakfast service Very poor value for money One day no hot water Ancient barely operable bathroom hardware Shabby torn towel No bath mat nor hand towel until complained Disgusting soap (like old style borax) No labels on shower shampoo/conditioner in glass bottles (very dangerous considering tile floor) Very poor wifi in first room Nice little rooftop terrace but not much of a view TAKE OFF HOTELS.COM

Great stay at this riad. Prepare to stay in firmer beds in Marrakech if you don't book a western chain hotel! The service was fantastic fron Mumin (I hope I have this correct) genuine and kind soul! Air conditioning was a problem throughout our stay in Marrakech but not here, fantastic, modern unit that worked perfectly. TV in the room, which again wasn't always the case in other properties. Great breakfast and over all a fantastic riad in a great location!

No internet connection which was terrible, no TV to relax and unwind because the TV was connected to the Wifi. Power cut in the hotel from 2am in the morning to the following evening as absolutely boiling hot with no AC or lights in the evening. Whereas all the neighbourhood had fully working electricity apart from the hotel we were in. This was my worst experience staying in a Riad. I have stayed in many when visiting Marrakesh. Will not recommend this Riad.

Property location is amazing, everything is in walking distance. Gem Riad is very clean. Shower technology is slightly outdated. Service was amazing however. Youseff was amazing. Every morning he made us breakfast, sometimes extra early so we could make our excursions. He also made us tea, gave us great advice, and helped us with any questions. Youseff was amazing!

The staff at the property were amazing and really accommodating. The breakfast was nice and we enjoyed the view from the terrace whilst eating our breakfast. Would reccomend and definitely stay here again.

Not as expected! I was unable to check in at 1PM, cuz rooms were not ready, then I was asked to come back at a later time. The're must be better options for riads.

If you want to be near all the action but also want a relatively quiet place to stay in the old Medina, this is a great choice. Ali and Abdul were courteous and eager to help with any special requests. The rooms are well equipped as far as riads go.

Mr Ali and Mr Abdul were the most kind and hospitable hosts we have encountered and treated us like family. Our needs were met and our family is very appreciative of their flexibility towards making our stay memorable. The surprise dinner was very welcome and the location is prime to get to the major highlights that Marrakech has to offer. Shukran and Allah hafiz.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Gem Riad and we couldn’t recommend it more highly. The staff were incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming. They made you feel really at home. The room was beautiful, everything spotlessly clean with everything thought of. The Riad is very conveniently placed, a short walk from the souks and tourist attractions alike. It was a truly memorable holiday made even better by our stay in the Gem Riad.

The Gem Riad was a great place to stay in order to be in the middle of the action in Marrakech. Khaled was fantastic and made sure that our family was always comfortable. I recommend Gem Riad highly!
