Excellent location. Expedia shows balconies in all the photos but not all rooms have balconies. Only two person rooms do.

Absolutely loved my stay! The location was perfect. Far enough away that it was quiet at night but close enough you could walk to EVERYTHING. The room with the river view was the cherry on top! Staff was very helpful and friendly too!

Perfect location and lovely staff. We really enjoyed our stay. No elevator was a minor inconvenience for the excellent air conditioning and location

This was an excellent stay, and the place was spotless. The staff was incredibly friendly and provided helpful recommendations and advice. The atmosphere was welcoming and inclusive, and it was conveniently located in the heart of Chiado. It was just a short walk away from a plethora of amazing attractions, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The hotel also offered complimentary Wi-Fi and air conditioning, which were great amenities.

Located in a prime area near plenty of restaurants and bars. Very walkable area. Great, clean hotel, with friendly staff and well working air conditioning. Staff assisted with luggage to room. Comfortable beds and pillows, and a great view of the river. Very spacious room. The walk up the 6 set of stairs was not that bad. The add-on breakfast was just OK and not worth the price. Overall amazing stay!

Air conditioning was okay - room felt damp. I had to duck to take a shower and go to the bathroom

Great hotel, wonderful staff and location. Also recommend the convenient and good breakfast. Staff also carried up our very heavy luggage which was kind. No elevator- which was ok with us.

Chiado 44 was in a very convenient location. Staff were helpful and friendly, ensuring that the luggage that was delivered late by the airline was brought up to our room promptly. One drawback is that our room was at the very top of the hotel, six stories up with no elevator. After a long day of touring the hilly city, the climb to our room was a bit daunting from time to time. However, on the plus side, the room was cool and quiet and the bathroom spacious. I would stay at Hotel Chiado again...but on a lower floor next time. :-)

A lovely way to start our trip in Portugal. The 4th floor walk-up was worth the view over the water as our first peek at Lisbon. Very walkable with easy access to restaurants and entertainment.

Isabella and all staff were extremely helpful in terms of restaurant recommendations, getting around the city, checking in, help with luggage up the many steps, breakfast, coffee and getting a taxi to the airport. And the view was amazing just as you see it in the picture. Very comfortable, enjoyable stay. I highly recommend. The location is central in Lisbon.

The staff is absolutely amazing at this hotel and the hotel breakfast is great too. A downside is no elevator but the staff is super accommodating and brings your luggage up for you. The rooms are not soundproof at all - you can hear everyone around you. Shower is pretty small and the head had tape around it. Overall amazing staff, great location, just a little bit outdated which is expected. Would stay here again!

I stayed in the room with the river room. And although this hotel is in such an excellent location that you are not in the room very often its nice to come back to and have that view! No elevator so its up 4 stories, not an issue at all if you don't mind, again you get a nice view, just something to consider if you have any health issues. They do offer to take your luggage. There is a restaurant as part of the hotel. But as mentioned, the locaitona is great, so bars and restaurants are within seconds walking and yet it is quiet at night so able to sleep well. Also extremely close to a metro station, although I ended up walking to most places. Definitely recommend staying here!

The location and staff are wonderful. It is conveniently located near great shops, food, public transportation, and other neighborhoods. The only watch out for other travelers is that there is no elevator. We were on the 4th floor and it was roughly 100 stairs to get to our room (we counted). The ground floor is floor zero and then there is a staff floor and then floors 1–4. Something to be aware of if you have a lot of luggage or mobility concerns. I’d also caution that the WiFi was very spotty and there were spots in our room where we couldn’t get cell service. I’d recommend Chiado 44 to most travelers or encourage guests to ask for a lower floor of stairs are a concern.
