The room was clean, comfortable and with good amenities. The staff were friendly and the cooked breakfast was very good.

Nice second floor room overlooking harbour. Good substantial full English breakfast. Fairly steep stairs to access room. A little disappointed pubs flood lights shine brightly on our window recess. I prefer to sleep with curtains open and enjoy the view as I go to sleep.

We had a fantastic two-night stay at The George. Every member of staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely keen to make sure our stay was perfect. We stayed in Room 2, which was comfortable with a great-sized bed and a lovely view over the harbour. Tea, coffee, fresh water, towels—everything we needed was there and thoughtfully prepared. Breakfast was included, and the Full English was cooked perfectly. There was also fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, and orange juice, which made for a great start to the day. The bar in the evening had a brilliant atmosphere, with a mix of locals and tourists that made it feel really welcoming. A special thank you to the host—you made us feel so at home. We’d definitely recommend The George and would happily stay again.

The George is ideally located in the center of town near to a bus stop. Everything about our stay was wonderful; a large en-suite room beautifully decorated with large bathroom. We ate dinner at the George day of arrival which was delicious and breakfast was fabulous. I highly recommend the George.

The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. The room and bathroom was clean and well decorated. And, breakfast was phenomenal.

We hadn't realised we'd booked something in West Bay, we thought we'd booked in Bridport, but the people in West bay were absolutely lovely and so friendly, and we found a great place to eat, so we were absolutely delighted with our little mini break. Thank you to all staff at the George pub, you were all fabulous and smiley and welcoming. We would recommend this place highly.

What a fabulous place!! The superb staff, wonderful food, great ales, good parking, beautifully maintained room and excellent location made our stay an amazing experience. From the first moment we arrived, every detail was taken care of..... including an intial taster of the fine local brewers "Palmers" ale. The room, although compact, was really comfortable, though the bathroom was roomy and towels plentiful. The restaurant food was fabulous, with the Lambs Liver and Steak and Ale pie being very popular. The location, near to the bus stop and the harbour, was ideal for easg access to the beautiful Wsst bay, with stunning views of the Jurassic coastline cliffs. A fabulous hotel, we'll definitely return.

Very nice stay here. Very central. Great room. Staff are friendly and food is mostly traditional. Small, simple menu. Well presented and tasty.

Lovely and pleasant place to stay for 3 nights. Nice staff, friendly and helpful. Room is great, sea view, clean and replenish everyday. Food in the George is very very good, plentiful too. Will go back when we are in Bridport again.

It was exceptional. The room was clean and well maintained, and was a very good size. The staff were so friendly and all went the extra mile for us as their guests. Would highly recommend.

Good size room, excellent breakfast

From the moment we arrived we were given such a warm welcome. Room was beautiful and immaculately clean. Lovely bathroom, fluffy towels. Plenty tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Best breakfast ever. Loved it and will definitely return.
