Beautiful property and amazing hospitality. We were only here for 2 nights but felt right at home. Frankie took care of everything even before we arrived to Zhangjiajie and arranged for our entire trip from start to finish, including daily transport in and out of the park, and our wonderful dinner one of the nights. We even sang karaoke on our last night. Its a lot of fun! I highly recommend if anyone is considering. The west entrance is also quiet and away from the crowds for a quiet retreat.

We had a wonderful time at No. 5 from beginning to end. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and modern whilst being right in nature. We were very well looked after by the staff especially Frankie who went above and beyond every day even helping us organise trips and buy tickets and driving us to the entrance of the national park. He was even on hand over Alipay chat to answer questions we had whilst on day trips. Frankie’s dog was also very sweet and warmly greeted us whenever she saw us :) Yama served us wonderful tea and was fascinating to speak to. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place. The surrounding area is amazing and we so enjoyed the national park, ancient town and “Grand Canyon”.

It was amazing and beyond what you see in photos. From the time of arrival, we were greeted warmly and professionally by Frank. The comfort of the room, the delicious meals, serene and beautiful setting made it a comfortable retreat after long days in the National park. We were pleasantly surprised by the tea master who is often available to serve up a variety of teas. It was delicious and educational. You are better off with car as it is some distance from town and the main park entrance, but it’s worth it to stay away from the crowds. I’d stay there again!

Frankie is a fantastic host!! He made everything seamless and made it feel as if you’re in your own home in such a beautiful place! Highly recommend.

We had a great stay at the No. 5 Valley Lodge! The staff are very accommodating and welcoming. The hotel is located very close to the West Entrance of the park and offers rides to the entrance on days you wish to explore. On our day at the resort, there were fun activities organized by the hotel, a beautiful pool overlooking the valley, and rice fields you could walk along! If we ever return to Zhangjiajie, we will be sure to return!

Amazing scenery. The resort is very well kept and has friendly staff. The hotel receptionist Rain was extremely helpful, he helped me with booking all the activities i wanted to do and explain the process i should follow and timings. He kept up with me via phone chat to make sure everything was in order. They also will provide shuttle for your own activities at an additional price

We had a wonderful stay at No. 5 Valley Lodge. The staffs were so helpful and friendly. Frankie was the best. He arranged everything for us from national park tickets, meals, transportation. Anything we ever needed. They were also available through wechat at all times if we had any questions. The hotel is far from downtown (if you want to go to other destinations) but very close to Zhangjiajie NP. Highly recommend this place and we would absolutely book again if we come back.

We had a fantastic stay at No.5 Valley Lodge. The accommodation was fabulous, great infinity swimming pool with Mountain Views, hotel restaurant serves authentic delicious dishes. The receptionist was extremely helpful :) He contacted my via WeChat ahead of the trip to help arrange a pick up from the airport. He also arranged 2 days of tours for us with driver and guide. This was all last minute ! Thank you again, we will recommend this hotel to friends and family. Zhangjiajie is one of the most impressive scenery in China. Must visit !

The resort is in a beautiful, natural location with easy access to the National Park and great views across the valley. The staff are super attentive and at least two speak very good English if needed - Rain in particular was extremely helpful. We really enjoyed the food in the Chinese restaurant (less so in the Western one) and the infinity pool is a great spot to relax if you want to give your legs a rest from hiking. The rooms are a generous size and well maintained. Overall a really enjoyable stay but maybe just a little overpriced.

We were very well looked after by Rain who contacted us before we arrived and organised everything we needed for our stay from batteries to entrance tickets. The views were stunning, the hotel room was gorgeous and spacious, the bed was comfortable; plenty of hot water.

Our experience was awesome! we took a small honeymoon without kids and was a lovely stay. The hotel is really clean, the rooms were in excellent conditions. All really clean, the bed was perfect, the TV with great movies selection. Not to mention the overall place that was amazing, so much nature around us. Also the hospitality of all the people was lovely, Rain help us with everything, very nice, friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious and home made. We are looking forward to go back with our children there to enjoy that warm infinity pool over the mountains.

The facilities at No. 5 Valley Lodge are great. It is close to Zhangjiajie and has a shuttle that transports people to and from the site. Rooms are clean and spacious and the overall scenery is great. I enjoyed interacting with the staff who were always very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend a stay at Valley Lodge.

It was à great stay with friends, the property, the staff and the manager Rain was our little care during thé 4 days. I recommend 1000 % and I hope to come back with my boyfriend one day. Thanks a lot thé Valley Lodge.

This place was a dream. I’ve never had such a good experience at a place. Johnathon was SO helpful every step of the way, everyone was so kind and the food was phenomenal, the lady who cooks the food in incredible. The place is expensive but if you’re on the fence, do it. This place goes above and beyond. I chose a room with the bathtub on the balcony, and the ONLY problem I had with the whole stay is that the bathtub was too perfect and I didn’t want to get out. I had to force myself to get out and go see the sights.

No public taxi in hotel... Very far from Zhangjiejie.. Take lot of money to return back to Zhangjiajie. No food in hotel. Breakfast near hotel is terrible. Photos in Orbitz are not exactly same as in real ones.

This has more of an eco-lodge vibe than a straight 5-star hotel. The views from the rice terraces are absolutely stunning. The bedroom was very comfortable and I enjoyed showering under natural light. The service was great and they had an English-speaking representative who organised everything for us, from hotel pickup to on-demand shuttles to the entrance of the park. However, the breakfast was pretty limited and there was a power cut.

The team at No. 5 Valley Inn is exceptional. They knew everything to make my stay perfect. The location is perfect for seeing the park. The food is great home style cooking. Even the internet worked great, which is unusual for China. Highly recommended

Brilliant! Wholeheartedly recommended. Lovely wooden lodges on a hillside with an enchanting view of the valley. Very well appointed inside with everything you could need. Great local food served. Great location just a few minutes by hotel battery car from the very quiet western entrance to Zhangjiajie National Park. But best of all was the service from all the staff and in particular our host Amber. She was in touch a few days before we arrived to check if we needed help getting there. Once there she attended to our every need and gave us a great map and invaluable advice on where to go each day which really made our trip. She also arranged a car and a driver for us on the day we went further afield. The hotel even has tiny mobiles/ GPS trackers you can take each day if you wish so that you can easily contact your host at any point in the day if you need help or advice!

We had an amazing stay at No. 5 Valley Inn- it was the highlight of our trip to China. The room and views were stunning and the food was good. Our host Amber was so accommodating and helpful. We would highly recommend it.
