Such a gorgeous hotel. The staff are so so friendly and helpful, especially young girl in reception and lady in breakfast room in white top. Spotlessly clean everywhere. And the breakfast was delicious and such a super choice. Would return in a heartbeat

Had a very comfortable room with a sea view, handy location for short walk into main restaurants & beach area. Whilst hotel decor might be considered slightly dated, for us it gave a nostalgic charm. Breakfasts were amazing - lots of choice! Staff all very friendly. Recommend & would stay again.👍😀

Basic but comfortable. We had a family of four staying, and the staff came in and made the two little convertible chairs into beds for us without our asking. Breakfast was very good. I cannot speak to parking because we were walking the Cami de Ronda and stayed here on the first night of our hiking trip.

Friendly staff, great location & amazing breakfast

The best part of this hotel is the breakfast. This is not the typical hotel continental. They have eggs made to order, pastries, fresh baked breads, all the fruits, sautéed vegetables, local fish. I’ve never had better and the service was fantastic! The hotel was nicely located for the beach and the bus. We were absolutely charmed by Costa Brava! We rented bikes in Palafugell and spent a whole day exploring. We hiked the costal trail from Begur back to Calella. Unbelievable beauty!!

The design of the hotel gives away it's 1960's origins, but it has been updated with a/c, new balconies and solar heating to the swimming pool. We had clean towels and sheets every day, a luxury. Our room on the top floor was huge and gave a distant view of the sea, the only drawback was that it had a really small wardrobe - frankly, one only suitable for a couple travelling with Ryanair! However, this small inconvenience was more than compensated for by the included breakfast. More choice that we've seen in hotels 4 time the size and price - plus eggs - fried (with bacon), scrambled or omlette. We've never seen actual bars of chocolate for breakfast anywhere! Oh, and the hotel is 2 minutes walk from the main part of town where there are plenty of places to eat and 3 minutes from the nearest beach.

We just got back from 10 days in Calella and had a marvellous time, despite these Covid-times. The Hotel Portbo was a wonderful place to stay and was extremely well positioned for everything in the area. The staff were all very helpful, thoughtful and friendly. The room was large and clean and comfortable. Our kids loved the pool and the breakfast and staff at breakfast (especially Xavier) were fantastic. We will return! Definitely recommend.

The location of the hotel was perfect. The staff,breakfast and room all excellent. The only negative,no bar but vending machines.

One of the best hotels I have stayed at. Staff amazing - friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast on offer - wow! Facilities all very clean. We would highly recommend. Hope to return.

Nice position in town Only B and B which is fine excellent breakfast But no kettle in room ( I know it’s picky but machine coffee awful) Also No bar in hotel again small point but would have expected that

Hotel was clean ,comfortable and was centrally located and close to beaches, restaurants and bars. Staff were polite , courteous and helpful at all times. Breakfast was outstanding and we would certainly use Hotel Port Bo when next in Calella de Palafrugell
