Cahuita as a whole was less than we expected. This property does provide a place to base for adventures to local beaches and/or the national park. Onsite parking is behind locked gate.

Simple place in great location. Would be 5 stars for me if it were just a couple bucks cheaper but I'm happy we stayed there and would stay again!

Our stay at Cabinas Arrecifre was lovely, we would definitely stay there again in the future. Good option if you're going to the national Park Cahuita. The staff super friendly and very helpful in regards to local options for eating, entertaining and transportation. Thank you Cabinas Arrecife!

Hidden but close to town, facing the ocean, small but clean pool, nice view for taking our breakfast on a patio.

Breakfast is awesome! Few rooms have A/C so be careful when booking.

I reserved a room with air conditionning as the temperature was 30 degree C. At the arrival I was told that I did not reserve a such room. I had to show the reception guy my reservation with air conditionning in order to convince him. Nevertheless he gave me a room without a/c. Terrible service. He tried to find a mistake on the web site and put the blame to the hotel.com but there was no mistake at all.

Room was clean. Had to ask for AC room. Bed is hard as a rock. Cold shower. Way over-priced.

I liked that it was right at the ocean. I didn't like that the air conditioner didn't work properly. The bed had just one thin worn out mattress that offered no support and the springs would poke into your body. I had just one flat sheet and no blankets. When i asked for a couple blankets I received 2 more flat sheets, one of which was a twin and the other a full size, the bed was a king. So the sheets were of little use. The shower was dirty and stained. The controls were loose in the wall and did not work well. The was an open circuit breaker mounted right next to the shower head! The tv had very poor reception and the wifi wad spotted at best. The icing on the cake was having to to listen to a large loud dog barking all night long!!!

Close to the ocean and all activities. You can do the ocean and feel the breeze from the bay. Did not care for the green mangoes falling on the tin roof. Very startling at first.

The walls here are thin, you can hear the next room. There is a 9pm quiet time curfew here which is strictly enforced. We were finishing up cooking around 10pm in the common kitchen area below the owners quarters when we were splashed with some kind of liquid from his apartment upstairs. We moved our food because this was gross and disturbing. Then shortly thereafter he rudely informed us to shut it down and angrily stomped off. We apologized about not being aware of the early 9pm rule. The wifi never worked, the cable only worked on the last day, and the TV was terrible picture quality when it did work. The staff were cool, the breakfast was great, the view and location are wonderful, however with a 9pm shutdown it felt more like summer kids camp or being 12 again. We were not overly loud or rambunctious. No one was available for checkout, so we left keys with the cook. Most restaurants are open later than 9pm.....

Stayed three nights in ground floor room. Bed was comfy, but wifi signal only strong if sitting in chairs outside your door or in breakfast room. Hotel is a waterfront (not beachfront) property, otherwise well situated in Cahuita. Short walk to Playa Blanca and Cahuita National Park, restaurants and nightlife. Hosts were great, breakfast was very good and the resident sloth was very entertaining. Pool and pool shower are COLD, beware! Also the refrigerator in the communal "hostel kitchen" was useful for storing our lunch fixings. Parking is quite tight; our fingers were crossed the whole time that no one would put a ding in the rental car.

It was quiet, small cute I slept well. Right on the ocean right where cahuita excursions depart. Not super fancy but nice to get some rest and swim and have a little breakfast.
