Very clean & tidy room and comfy bed.Lovely little touches. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The swimming pool etc were great to use. Lovely outside spaces to eat and drink. The restaurant served delicious food with very attentive staff.The grounds were very well maintained. Highly recommend a stay.

Great location. Beautiful outside terrace with great food. Service is friendly but not as quick as we would have liked. Restaurant food is great too. Spa booked up way in advance so could not use that for this stay. We would happily return.

Lovely hotel - last minute booking. Superb facilities and helpful staff, only minor quibble was breakfast - the full English appeared to be freshly cooked, but IMHO it was assembled from a hotplate in the kitchen (dry, welded together bacon and raw/cold tomato) - next morning tried poached egg on avocado on toast - much better. At this price, it was poor quality (Premier Inn do better!)

Clean room, freindly reception staff, hardworking friendly bar and restaurant staff. We ate dinner outside from the bar menu, the food was AMAZING, hats off to the chef. Nice cold drinks for a very hot bank holiday, dig deep though if you fancy a cocktail- around £15 per drink which we feel is a little pricey. Room was fresh and filled with air con which made the night very relaxing. Quiet setting, nice atmosphere in evening. Made use of the spa whilst here- really nice, rooftop terrace with jacuzzi is a nice touch! Will deffo return, thank you for a really lovely stay. 10/10

Lovely stay at Bedford Lodge for friends wedding this weekend. Really firendly, helpful staff going the extra mile to seat us all together for breakfast. mLovey pool, sauna, steam room and whilrpool. Shame not enough time to really make to most of it. Nice touch of chocolates on bed on arrival but not all of the group got the same. Some had horses and some recieved nothing Looking forward to coming back with my husband to really enjoy and relax and see mor eof Newmarket itself

We had a nice time at the hotel, large room and quiet, great breakfast, friendly service. The leisure center / spa was a plus!

Great stay best hotel in area.

The Bedford Lodge is set in attractive grounds and has very good and generous parking. The hotel is well decorated and maintained. The staff are helpful and attentive and the breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a great 2 night stay in a lovely suite the breakfast was very nice and cooked to order all staff were excellent massage was very good would love to stay again.

Beautiful hotel

Plenty of free secure parking, nice grounds, outside of buildings and garden areas very tidy and clean. Easy check in, cheerful and helpful staff, especially in restaurant and bar area. Room was tidy, clean and very comfortable with a good view of a horse stables and training yard. Lovely to see the horses with their heads popping out of the stables, and the stable staff taking them for exercise. Hotel is nice and close to Newmarket town, easy 10 minute walk, and you get the chance to see the horses and jockeys training as you walk along the path towards the town. Added bonus is an hourly bus to the lovely city of Ely, takes 30 > 40 minutes ride. Allows you to go out without having to drive. Would love to visit hotel again.

Beautiful hotel within a stunning location surrounded by race yards, absolutely glorious seeing the horses go round the gallops in the morning. Room was perfect albeit very warm, too warm to sleep well but bed comfy and clean bathroom with little nice smellies. Breakfast was blooming lovely too! Great selection of hot food on the menu & the buffet was just as nice! Staff always attentive

Very warm welcome from from reception on my arrive. Grounds and hotel is lovely. My only slight grumble is I had a dead bug/ beetle in my room on the floor and a small dead moth clinging to the folds in my towel in the bathroom. Breakfast was great. Lots to chose from.

Only an overnight stay, but clean and beautiful property with very good amenities and a good breakfast.

We stayed here over a bank holiday weekend for Spa break. We were disappointed with immediately after arrival on the day, were shown the leisure/spa facilities of the hotel, which we thought was the spa in the pics, we were not advised otherwise. Spoiler alert, the actual spa isn’t in the same premises, the one on the premises is pretty much like a local leisure centre with tired facilities. We only found the next day that we had to leave the premises to go to the actual spa after my husband took his laptop to the reception showed pics of the spa from here said, it doesn’t look like this here, that’s when they decided to say oh you wanted to go here, that’s over there (pointing at another building across the street) to cut a long story short we wasted our first day wondering where the hell is the spa. The only redeeming element was the bar downstairs specifically Joshua & Paul, they really made us feel very welcome and looked after us throughout the evening. Also the next we finally went to the spa across the street and it was absolutely fantastic, the spa team even gave us a little present to say sorry for the confusion.

We had a great bleisure stay at the hotel. Clean room, comfortable bed, excellent and clean swim/sauna/steam facilities and not crowded. Breakfasts and evening meal were superb. Will definitely stay again soon.
