hotel is getting old, so many things were amiss: phone didn't work which gave us trouble for getting through housekeeping, kitchen and engineering, to ask for extra towels, bathrobes, room service and fixing leaks in our bathroom. But Staff are very friendly and helpful, so things finally got fixed and we were able to enjoy our stay. Special thanks to Mr Mustaba from house keeping who promptly supplied us with the extra towels and robes so that we can fully enjoy our garden tub. 😄😄🛀😍

The hotel is large but very old. Upon entering the room, you'll notice the musty smell of an old building. There's also no parking attendant, so first-timers can be a bit confused because there's no one to direct them. On the plus side, the hotel is very large and has plenty of activities for kids.

The room was comfortable and spacious, but the mattress wasn't very soft. The breakfast menu had very little variety and many were already empty even though it was still 8 am. The fried chicken was tough, hehe. The toilet in ballroom 2, my goodness, smelled like pee because the urinal was made of wood, probably. Management needs to improve in the future 🙏🙏

Good hotel for families, I like the room, unfortunately there are not enough wheelchair/stroller facilities, the bathroom facilities near the pool are not well maintained... and the food prices are very expensive, the location is far so we are forced to eat at the hotel.

My overall rating for my stay at Novotel Bogor is 7 out of 10. The hotel’s exterior and design are certainly appealing, offering a refreshing and peaceful ambiance that is perfect for a short escape from routine. This serene atmosphere is the main reason I would consider returning. However, there are several areas needing significant improvement. The room facilities appear outdated, giving off an unavoidable dark and old vibe that detracts from the comfort. Furthermore, the hospitality was mediocre; for the price point, which is quite high, I honestly expected a much better level of service. The breakfast was also underwhelming—the food was just average, some items were not fresh, and there was a lack of overall variety. I had much higher expectations for both the food quality and hospitality given the cost. During my stay, a large Indian wedding event took place, which was quite long and disruptive, but I do appreciate the hotel’s effort to notify guests by placing a letter in the room regarding the disturbance. Ultimately, while I enjoyed the peaceful, overall environment of the hotel, the poor quality of the room remains a major drawback to an otherwise relaxing stay.

I had a very comfortable experience in this hotel. The foods were delicious! I love having breakfast here as everything was tasty. The garden was wonderful and cozy too. Such a lovely gateway from the busy routine of the city. Would love to go back and spend my weekend here anytime 🫶🏻

For a five-star hotel, I think Novotel doesn't pay enough attention to the interior and cleanliness of the room. I was very disappointed even though I booked a room that I thought would be good. However, I got a room where the bathtub faucet for cold water didn't work, the floor around the bathtub was mossy and cracked, the sofa in the room was dirty and had paint falling off, the floor tiles were loose and there were ants in the room. Even though for a big hotel/five-star resort, maybe they could do some minor renovations in the rooms that are no longer good so that guests would be more comfortable. It's like it's not worth staying in a five-star hotel and getting a room that can be said to be shabby. Even though our goal in staying in a hotel is to go on vacation and get a comfortable room and hope it's more comfortable than the room at home. Hopefully, next time Novotel can fix the damage and cleanliness of the room so that guests don't regret staying at Novotel.

It's good, but the service speed needs a little improvement. I asked for an iron, and it was only delivered two hours later. The gym also needs some improvement, as it needs rejuvenation and doesn't look well maintained. The rooms and some other things have been renovated. Otherwise, everything is fine.

It always provides a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Hopefully, the indoor playground can be further improved in terms of cleanliness and the variety of toys. The food is good, and the rooms are also good. I will definitely come back here. Thank you!

Staycation here is not the first time but it has been the umpteenth time and there has never been an unpleasant incident. However, the last time I stayed here, I checked in around 5:00 PM and had just rested for a while in the room around 5:30 PM, there was an officer knocking, I had only knocked once and had not received a response from us, suddenly the door had been opened without warning when my child and I were not wearing hijab, automatically we all screamed in surprise because we were not requesting any officer. Because it was uncomfortable and he argued that there was something we needed, we said no. It was just strange that the SOP for officers knocking on the door should not be like that and it was very disappointing and disturbed our privacy

What’s Good: - Engineering, Security, and Housekeeping teams showed warm gestures when greeting guests. - Front Office handled check-in quickly and was very helpful in providing room information. - Green juice and carrot juice in the restaurant were excellent. - Rooms were clean — kuddos to the Housekeeping Team. - Room Service staff delivering juice to the room was very polite. What Could Be Improved: - Food quality was average; breakfast could be more appealing with more tempting options. - The restaurant greeter did not provide a warm welcome; the gesture felt unapproachable and less willing to assist guests. - When calling the operator around 8 AM to confirm breakfast for another guest, the staff seemed rushed and immediately escalated the matter to the restaurant without properly responding. - The restaurant team showed a lack of active listening. I had to repeat my request for juice three times, yet they still asked if I wanted an American breakfast or other options. They also did not repeat back my order for confirmation. Overall, while the stay was pleasant, addressing the above points will further enhance guest satisfaction and service consistency.
