I chose to stay here because it's right in the middle of Jl. Slamet Riyadi, making it easier to get around. My only regret is that I was only given one access card. If I wanted two, I'd have to pay another Rp 50,000. Other hotels always give two cards for free. This made it difficult for us to leave when others were resting. Another thing I'd like to highlight is that the window drapery was broken, so I couldn't open the window. Also, the shower faucet was a bit difficult to understand; I had to read the instructions before taking a shower. The knob was also slippery when showering. Another thing I noticed was that there was no doorbell. Not a big deal for me, but it's quite important for other guests, especially older people. I liked that the room temperature could be adjusted to my liking, so I was happy the room wasn't too cold and I was shivering. Overall, everything was fine; the staff was friendly and very helpful. Hopefully, this will be a good indicator for future reviews.

When booking via the app, in the special request field, I wrote: non-smoking room, high floor, 1 large single bed, and "our 22nd wedding anniversary" (a non-smoking room). I was hoping for something special from Novotel Solo, hehe... And then, it was time to check in... Beyond my expectations, the front desk staff only mentioned one option: "non-smoking room."

Strategically located near the Ngarsopuro night market, museums, and the CFD (Central Festival) event. It's a perfect place to spend your weekend. The food is decent, but I'd suggest a bit more variety.

The location is truly strategic for getting anywhere, and there are also many cafes and culinary options nearby. Recommended!

The staff's response to complaint handling was slow. I ordered a non-smoking room but it still smelled of smoke. At 3 AM in the morning, a loud sound suddenly came from the toilet and woke us up. The complaint was only handled correctly in the morning by the manager, but it didn't seem sincere. A rather bad experience for such a branded hotel with this level of service and facilities. The food was just okay.

Feedback for the restaurant: 1. The glass still smells fishy. 2. The juice tastes like water (little fruit). 3. There's little variety in the food, even less cheese. 4. It's hard to find cutlery and tissues; they're just placed in the middle.

We stayed here on a weekend and found out the street next to the hotel was the CFD area. So we went out for food on Sunday morning at CFD Solo.

The food is varied and delicious. There's a children's menu. The swimming pool is clean.

Highly recommended for families.

Overall, the hotel rooms are comfortable and tidy. It's just a shame that the restaurant menu is so basic, considering Solo is known for its tourism. Perhaps the hotel management could replace the restaurant menu with Solo specialties, as this hotel certainly attracts not only Solo residents but also domestic and international tourists.
