This hotel is conveniently located inside the Alishan National Park area, so you can wake up and basically start exploring the park. Check in can be a bit confusing since you check at the adjacent hotel on the left. (Can’t remember the name.) Our room felt quite dated like from the 1980’s. It was small but clean enough and had all the basics. I think the point is not to lounge around inside the room all day, but to be outside in the park exploring nature. Breakfast was included at a local restaurant, so that was an unexpected plus. Staff here speak very little English. So to ask for directions or anything about the park can be challenging. I would do all that at the visitor center.
