Great beer, great staff. Do not stay over. Go somewhere else. Dated rooms. Carpet in the bathroom which had seen better days. Having said that, if you want a beer. A must visit place. Ales kept perfectly. Nice selection! 5* service for realistically a 1* hotel. If it was a pub only, I'd probably look at a 4*. Lacking in some atmosphere but sometimes that's not a bad thing.

Popped in for a pint near the river. The bar lady was friendly and welcoming. The pub is a lovely place for a pint. The food smelt nice but sadly didn't eat. Beautiful location next to the river. Worth a visit

This is an extremely good value hotel, excellently located for visiting the Western Lake District. Dinner and breakfast were both really good and our room was fine with a very comfortable bed. The beer garden at the back is lovely going right down to the river. We had two dogs and they were most welcomed. If we were looking for accommodation in this area again, I would happily stay there again. My wife left an item of clothing in the restaurant and the owners sent it on immediately we gave them an address. The welcome and service we received were both excellent.

A gorgeous hotel with lovely owners and staff. The whole place is spotless, with useful amenities like a breakfast bar, television, coffee/tea, etc. The riverside beer garden and stunning and well taken care of. The bar has the best lineup on tap you’ll ever see. Food is amazing, every meal was spot on.
