Free parking in a smallish off road private parking area opposite. Check in was quick with very friendly and helpful staff. Room was a good size, clean, modern and with all the amenities you need. Breakfast was outstanding! All waitress served off a comprehensive menu in a well laid out dining room with attention to detail. The cooked breakfast was excellent and overall what you would expect from a very high end hotel really. I did not have dinner so cannot comment much on that except it was £30 for 3 courses which looked very good considering its decent menu. Overall the Saxonville hotel really exceeded my expectations and was very good value for money. I thoroughly recommend and I travel a lot.

Friendly staff, great location, beds very comfortable, excellent breakfast. Sadly the shower didn't work in our delux room, hence lower rating. Only stayed 1 night so I reported to reception on our way to breakfast.

Getting to our room (24) was a challenge ... lots of stairs and doors. Water flow in the shower was down to trickle...( no water pressure). Dinner was ok , but on the pricy side in terms of portion size to cost ratio.

The Saxonville Hotel fromarrival to departure, from walking in the door and being greeted by the reception staff to leaving. The hotel and staff made for a lovely stay.

I am not a holiday person, due to the cleanliness of standard holiday hotels, but was very pleasantly surprised by the exceptionally high standards in the Saxonville Hotel. Helpfulness of the staff was second to none, and our silver service waitress was very professional and friendly. Smiles go along way in our household, and your staff and management did this with ease. The food was piping hot when needed to be, nothing was too much trouble, would definitely stay again. Be aware there is parking there, but it is on a first come first serve basis. Generally Whitby has very few charge stations available, which leads to a more stressful holiday for electric vehicle owners.

Stayed as a solo traveller for one night for a quick visit to Whitby. Staff were very friendly on the phone when I called to firm up arrangements, and same when greeting me when I arrived. Good amount of private parking available. I arrived at 11:30am before chicken in (3pm) but no issues using the car park while I explored the town. When I did check in, I found the room clean and comfortable. The decor may be a little dated but it was perfect for my needs. Bathroom looked fairly new and shower worked well. Heated towel rail and good collection of towels for my stay. Bed was super comfy and had a great nights sleep, also in a nice quiet part of Whitby! I didn't try dinner or breakfast as I had other plans so can't comment on these, but from my experience I would come and stay here again.

I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world without ever making comment but this time I will. It is quintessentially Yorkshire charming. The location is also great for walking into town. Parking is easy and the staff are so very helpful.

Hotel perfectly situated with access to Whitby. Private parking was available. There s no lift in the hotel - which might pose a problem for some! Breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly.

Historic property so quite old fashioned. Room was a great size & very clean. Had good amenities albeit water pressure in shower was non existent & WiFi was poor. Good quality breakfast but full table service for cereals & juices was a bit weird. Great location for walking into Whitby and good parking.

Everything good, very nice hotel with welcoming and helpful staff. Good location too, only about 10-15 minutes walk from Whitby museum and art gallery and from Whitby town itself. No complaints, I was quite happy with my hotel room and breakfast was very good too.

I had a lovely stay in this hotel. The property was a little dated but clean and well-maintained. It wasn’t right in the middle of town, but a comfortable walk away. Breakfast was lovely. It was table service, and the ladies who served breakfast were absolutely the best. The wi-fi was quite patchy.
