Great food both for dinner and breakfast

Excellent breakfast. Overall price was quite high for a country pub hotel, but I was well looked after and enjoyed being able to sit out on the patio dining area in the evening.

The rooms are well maintained and modern with an excellent shower, unfortunately we stayed on very very hot week and there is no air con but other times of the year it would be ok. The WiFi did not work for our stay with the staff blaming different things but in the end it just didn’t work anywhere in the building. We ate in the restaurant one night but found better options in other nearby pubs, One of the things I now hate about modern hotel bars is the lack of British beers on offer just the generic fizzy euro lagers . Breakfast was ok nice coffee and pastries but the English breakfast sadly lacked any sort of taste. Overall a nice place to stay for a couple of days.

The reception welcomed me warmly and very professional. Great hotel ambiance and very appealing, room was a good size so to was the bathroom. The full English Breakfast was perfect. Poached eggs were the best I’ve ever had. It wasn’t busy and it was part of the price for the night. The English breakfast tea was very good. Just could have done with a tea pot. Loads of space for Parking. I will be staying again for sure Only a very slight quibble about the toilet seat as it wasn’t the right size for the toilet. Just a little too small.

Property was as expected. Parking was plentiful, room was clean, food was good. Stayed here with my 85 year old mother-in-law who has mobility issues and is dairy, wheat and gluten free. Food was a little limited and the lack of a non dairy spread at breakfast was a surprise. however the staff went out of their way to accommodate her and as this was her first time in any hotel she loved it.

Easy parking, excellent rooms with amazing bathrooms. Staff are very good. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order. Evening meals can be pricey.
