The hotel’s location is excellent. It is close to the metro, surrounded by many restaurants, cafés, and shops, and within easy walking distance of many of the city’s main attractions. The breakfast was very generous with a wide variety of options, and there was free coffee 24 hours a day. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Porto and would gladly stay here again.

Great location, and close to the train station. Small boutique Hotel. Room was a decent size but with few amenities, kettle for tea as long as you wanted green tea with no milk or cream. Bathroom was ok but the shower was small. Elevator worked the first night and then would not open to our floor. Breakfast was pedestrian and very simple and cold options only. I did ask if they had any eggs and they said yes and made us some, Staff was nice and helpful but charged extra for calling for a taxi, should have done that ourselves. Room was OK but not what we expected.

I stayed here for 3 nights in June. I loved the location, as it was very walkable and close to the sites. Just minutes from the Dom Louis Bridge, the Bell Tower, the train station and other sites. I took the train back to Lisbon and the station is right across the street basically. Very easy so I didn't need a taxi. The staff was all friendly and helpful. My room was in the older section and the elevator did not go all the way up, so if mobility is an issue be sure to tell them when you book so you can be in the section that has access. I did not have an issue with it and chose not to use it anyway. The room was spacious and and clean with great air conditioning. The breakfast had options and I at the French Toast and fruit each day. They had a coffee machine where you could choose from many options of coffees all day long. I would stay here again if I returned.

We enjoyed our stay in Porto and especially our hotel experience. The room was a little larger than a common European room. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything we needed. One of the best advantages was the location. While it's on a fairly touristy street, the street is closed to traffic and was a great thoroughfare to wander. Breakfast was good and so convenient. I would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Porto.

Casa dos Loios is delightful. The location is right in the heart of things, easy to find your way around. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with a lovely outside sitting area on which to eat. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, with good restaurant recommendations and help interpreting train schedules and directions. Would definitely stay here again should we be so lucky to visit Porto a second time!

We totally enjoyed our one night stay at your very unique hotel!! We were welcomed by Paula and Gabby!! Very helpful and Paula showed us the map with highlights marked for us. Gabby showed us around the premises and took our luggage to our room very fast!! Thank you girls. Also our hotel was a perfect location across the street from the train station we arrived. The main issue with this hotel is that it is not a 4 star hotel. It is a guest house, masquerading as a 4 star hotel, and charging 4 star prices. It needs to be checked. On MAPS.ME it is listed as a "guest house." As a guest house, it was very good, and the location is excellent.

The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. I made a last-minute change to the date of my arrival and they were very accommodating about it.

Hotel is in an older building and had lots of charming features and was also updated so that our stay was wonderful. Location was great, staff was friendly and the included breakfast was delicious with lots of food options.

When we first arrived, I was unsure about our hotel choice. The hotel was a little hard to find because it’s inside a very old building that is surrounded by other businesses and it has a very tiny sign on the door with the hotel name. The elevator is extremely tiny and claustrophobic, but Gabby was happy to bring up our luggage. If you want authentic, quaint, consistent with this very historical area, this is a good place to stay. The location couldn’t be better as far as walking distance to tons of shops and restaurants. It was a very different experience. Our room was the only one on that floor. It was big with a balcony facing the pedestrian street. The king bed was comfortable, the temp was good, and the shower had good water pressure. There isn’t much space to store clothing, but we made it work. There is also no conditioner in the shower. The staff was wonderful though and very friendly. Kudos! They had a nice breakfast buffet with a gourmet coffee machine, which many places don’t offer there. Overall, I ended up being happy with our choice.
