Safe!

Its a decent resort style hotel in the Oasis chain. Not particularly close to anything, but thats fine when all you want to do is relax by the pool. There is no beach - beach in Praia is blah, better to go to Sal or Boa Vista for quality beaches. Room was correct, nice balcony overlooking the water and view on Fogo volcano, which was neat! AC worked well, wifi was sometimes spotty but ok in general. Good towels. Front desk staff were helpful and responded to a request to fix the sink to drain properly and refill the soap dispensers (but this should be managed by the housekeeping anyway). Breakfast was very good, large variety of items. Supper was another story entirely - takes AGES to get any attention from a waiter and then another hour to actually get food. All sitting in the dark, because there's very little indoor dining area for supper (that I could see) and the outdoor seating has no practical lighting at all. Pool was nice, but always super windy so basically no use. Also not heated so only good during summer.

The hotel is good but the are a number of little things that were annoying the shower head would not stay in position,one could hear the people in the rooms next door.

Very disappointed in Management's customer service. Flight cancellations by Cabo Verde Airlines both coming and going required reservation changes. Hotel would not accommodate changes even with 3 and 5 day advance notice--blamed Hotels.com yet refused to work with hotels.com requests to allow changes. They said we must cancell the entire reservation and rebook, but "there are no reservations to book". Result was we had to pay for 6 rooms (3 rooms for 2 nights) on each end of our reservation that we could not use. Will not reserve here again. Also, we paid for a "garden view" which was a hedge and the parking lot and road. We have stayed here numerous times, reserving 3-5 rooms for up to a week. They do not treat returning guests with any consideration. Cannot recommend to others. New hotels being built in the neighborhood. Thank goodness!

24 hour security.

Like other reviews said, they can't seem to handle the basics. Arrived around noon, was told checkin was at 2pm. Came back at 2pm, but had to wait 30 minutes. Others were waiting much longer and every time Iv was in the lobby there were many people waiting that didn't look very happy. This hotel has potential, but not with the current management.

I recommend this hotel

The hotel made me pay for the reservation twice and I still haven't received my refund. They did not seem to care much about my experience. The bed was also hard and uncomfortable.

This is a hotel that needs an upgrade in its overall conditions. I believe most of the staff are hard working/over worked, but the front desk staff appear a little aloof and not very concerned when patrons have a concern or complaint.

The hotel is older and needs repairs and updates. The curtains and cloth furniture had stains. The floor was dusty and i had to use the wipes i brought to clean the floor on mu hands and knees. The reviews that said the beds were hard are absolutely correct. Two out of the three beds were as hard as a rock. The shower leaked water all over the floor. One of the shower heads did not work. The service at the restaurants was really good and the workers at the restaurants were very attentive and nice, and the food was good. In our travels were seen the same hotel chain in Sal and Tarrafel and they were completely different. The owners need to desparately give this location some attention. We have tonhead back to this location for the end of our trip and i am not lookimg forward to it!

Excellent hotel, great breakfast. Rooms, WiFi and service. Excellent location overlooking the water in a safe, quite area.

Great service

We liked the location and view, the service was often overhelmed. The level of service and amenities provided does not match the comparatively high price of the accomodation. The gym was bellow any imaginable standards. To order two drinks at the pool bar took often 45 minutes!

Great location close to everything and everywhere you want to be. Delicious breakfast. Great bar service and plenty of amenities available for your family and guests
