Room was nice and staff were lovely. This hotel is a massive operation. It’s loud and busy and chaotic. Food was ok in the Italian restaurant. Breakfast was mediocre-some of the worst croissants and cheeses I’ve ever had at a hotel breakfast buffet. Truly awful. If this is the kind of thing you like-it’s perfect. Otherwise-it’s not worth the money.

Staff are all very welcoming, capable, and thoughtful in anticipating needs of residents. Would stay again, in fact writing this on our third stay as we go in and out of Kigali.

Beautiful property. Welcoming and kind staff, many amenities. Location is great. Rooms were excellent. Breakfast each day offered something for everyone. So many options to choose from. Jude at front desk was so helpful. Frank and Jean Pierre at the main bar went above and beyond! Cecile and the rest of the staff in the Executive Lounge were an amazing. Cecile, especially, made it a point to welcome us and offer suggestions for sites to visit. She made sure we felt at home! Vianney was also extremely helpful and accommodating, while we waited to depart for the airport. Thank you for a beautiful end to an amazing vacation!

Clean and lovely

The hotel is rather stylish for a "chained" hotel. I experienced a few issues so I had three room changes! The staff were generally good but some require a bit more training.

Friendly and helpful team. Abundant amenities. Clean and spacious. Good food options. Excellent gym and spa.

Let’s see. Checked in and 5 mins later, somebody walks into our room. No apologies from the hotel even though the bell boy witnessed it. Had to call twice to get wifi in the room. 20 mins later they sent somebody’s stuff to our room. Next day - they don’t clean our room since they STILL think we’re somebody else that has requested no cleaning service. come back in the evening- loud, we’re pushed aside for their vip guest. The people are nice and trying their best, but there is something wrong with their processes. Overpriced. Not smooth like typical Marriott.

My stay was very pleasant and restful. The staff took wonderful care of me and got me to the airport safely.

Nice and modern hotel

Decent modern hotel with some shortcomings. They had closed the main restaurant while we were there (without prior notice) and the other restaurant had a limited menu and felt short staffed (it also had a door that would not close properly and so was full of mosquitoes). Overall the food in this hotel was quite disappointing and service was spotty. A notable exception was the concierge service—very professional and helpful, always went the extra mile. Really top knotch concierge. Rooms are spacious and have nice views, and beds are comfortable. I was disappointed by the stains on the carpeting and there was a somewhat weird odor in the hallways—possibly a poor choice of air freshener but it smelled like mold or something stale. You may end up here anyway bc Kigali’s high end options are somewhat limited (and this is among the best) but be aware of these shortcomings. Might especially be worth checking if their restaurant is open.
