The staff & service was exellent

First room (junior suite) had a small kitchenette but no pots, pans, dishes, silverware or glassware so that was a waste. Then the music from the pool area and the neighboring hotel was so loud so late into the night, I asked for a room change. For that, I had to wait another day and accept a "voluntary downgrade", which meant they wouldn't credit me the difference in cost. That room was quiet, but in poor condition (missing a closet door and a shower door, the toilet leaked, all but 1 drawer smelled weird). The food options were not great and too repetitive. I ate a lot of ice cream because I was hungry... Best thing was the beach, but you had to get there early for a lounge chair that wasn't past it's prime. I won't go back there.

Hotel needs renovations…have a old finish…rooms smell musky and some of the attendants are unfriendly

I would say everything was just as expected for an 4 star hotel .. only thing that was surprising to me was the room furniture they were very worn out and shout out Macy the Jamaican girl up front wonderful job and housekeeping did great

The property is outdated. My room was large and was tidy, the bathroom was horrific. Difficulty getting into the 3 inside restaurants. Buffet was ok at best. The pros were the location and the staff!!!

The buffet options was good enough and the food was tasty..The bar service however left alot to be desired. Felt like we had to beg to be served and the glasses used at the bar to serve customers were in a deplorable condition and should be replaced.

This was the first hotel that I visited that had a wide variety of activities from aqua aerobics to bingo to dancing in the night. Absolutely enjoyed the activities, the relaxing atmosphere, the delicious food and friendly and polite staff.

A nice moderately priced beach resort. It’s not 5-stars. The beach is nice, snorkeling on site is solid, location to Mambo beach was great. The food was average at best. The vibe of the patrons was chill. The alcoholic drink options were less than average. The price for an all-inclusive was excellent.

They need to announce restaurant closures and disappointed that they close 2 days per week. The buffet outdoors creates havoc with seating very problematic. The staff are what keep us coming back. Norma and Mimi just to mention 2.if the resort wants more inpuut feel free to contact me. We've been there over 4 ownerships in 25 years

Pictures of the property made it seem better than it was in reality. Staff seemed unhappy and put out by being at work or having to wait on you. Need to smile a little more.

The food was good but the staff was not friendly at all. (With the exception of a few, most didn’t even smile.)

There is a mold issue in building 2 for the SunScape Curacao Hotel based on the same stark stink smell from one room to the next. Upon arrival, the greetings were welcoming. However, the room is below par. The first room had the following problems: room smells, mosquitos in the room, A/C not working, and the remote not working. The second room had the same mold smell. This is unacceptable for any hotel to provide. Furthermore, the manager, Pedro, came in the room to investigate my claims and confirmed the issue was unacceptable. He offered a third room, but he stated it also had a smell. The following day, the toilet made a persistent loud noise. Maintenance came to fix the issue, but the noise continued a minute later. We were then offered a fourth room, and I asked for a refund. As a result, we left the day. We are extremely displeased with this reservation. I anticipate compensation for this continued inconvenience. Two things could have improved our experience of the faulty facility. A room in a different building since the issue was persistent in all the rooms offered in building 2 and compensation for the inconveniences.

Sunscape Curacao is beautiful, well maintained, and the staff was always curtious and friendly! The beaches are beautiful and the restaurants have plenty of delicious food!

BEWARE of room booking bait and switch!!!! They have the nerve to tell you that your room may not be available from what you booked because someone else extended their stay so they are keeping the room for a few more days🤔 that is not true and not a legal thing to do when booking a vacation. Then they tell you they can upgrade you for $200 more on your room. (I’ve witnessed it with two couples sitting there) if you become a Sunscape member. rooms are not what they appear in picture but the staff is great and the property is kept very clean. Food in the restaurants are great but the buffet for breakfast beware.🙁 sadly I would not recommend the stay…

Cockroach in room. Food horrible

Staff was friendly, drinks were good, resort is right on the beach. We had to wait almost every time we went to the buffet or one of the restaurants. Went to the Spa, had a massage and facial, both were wonderful. Resort is in desperate need of renovations though, I don’t think the Hyatt has put any money into it since it was built in the 60’s, the staff do what they can with what they have.

The staff at this property tried really hard but obviously didn’t have the support they needed to succeed. The facilities were borderline awful. Dirty rooms. Unresponsive front desk for simple things like water. Unorganized dining options and wait lists. They need a dinner pager system so badly, I almost want to buy one for them! The pools were dirty. The beach towel staff member was one of the most inconsiderate, rude individuals on the staff. The male bartenders were rude. The buffet would run out of food 2 hours prior to closing. I was with my husband on a trip without our kids and we made the most of it; however, we would never recommend the island or this resort to anyone.

Staff not very friendly or helpful. Pool bar not open. Ethel restaurants are not open every day. They need more bar staff- long wait for drinks . They are often running out of drink ingredients. We were on the third floor with no elevator and no one
