The rooms and staff were great overall, Solid resort for value. Food was ok at the buffet and the drinks were pretty weak as any other typical resort. There’s no room service at night only “drink service” that takes forever to deliver water, 2.5 hours later. Only food to eat at night is at the snack bar. The 3 restaurants are always booked better book as soon as you can. The beaches don’t have any umbrellas like their neighboring resorts do. Beaches were calm and clean and have services such as pedicure and massages that are better deals than the resorts.

Everything is fine. but out good more activities and entertainment inside the resorts as events for the night

El personal fue increíble, muy amable y era fácil conversar con ellos. El resort estaba muy limpio, en mi opinión. La comida a veces no era la mejor y a veces estaba muy buena. Lo que no fue lo mejor fue el entretenimiento. Fue un poco aburrido, pero aparte de eso, me quedaría aquí de nuevo.

Just returned from a week at Emotions. Booked the swim up room and it did not disappoint. The staff was excellent and helpful. Food options at buffet were very good. The coffee cafe was a real gem. The room was clean, beds were comfy. Would return.

We only ate at the buffet for the two days that we stayed. The food was okay, but not great. It was often overcooked and dry. The best choice was the pasta bar where the food was cooked to order. Guest services was awesome and quickly addressed our request for a mini bar refill when we missed housekeeping. The front desk folks were very friendly.

Stayed one night. Property very nice. Rooms ok. Bathrooms need to be updated. Took shower water was cold. Light in bathroom very dim. Didn’t care for the dinner buffet

Property is well maintained. The room were upgraded. Could not be better. I have traveled to the area for decades and it was my first time at Emotions. I would go back again. One of the best all inclusive paces to stay in Puerto Plata right now.

My solo trip was excellent! Exceeds expectations! My room was clean and had extra water & drinks for me. The food was delicious, so healthy and fresh, drinks were so refreshing. I tried new foods that I’ve never had and I had drinks that were so strong and tasty. The resort was so clean, everyone there was very pleasant and tried teaching me spanish, so grateful for them. I didn’t have to pay for anything extra, and the hotel recommended a taxi driver for me and it worked out perfectly to get there and back from the airport! I felt very safe. Planning my next trip back asap.

The buffet wasn't good

It’s pretty boring & there’s not much entertaining. Most of the customer service people had an attitude or were serious. This is more for older people. 4/10 wouldn’t recommend unless you’re really just trying to chill.

We arrived at 3:15 for checkin and our room was finally ready at 4:30. The room service (cleaning) was really good. The room was a decent size, however, there were several things broken in the bathroom (shower light, no toilet paper holder, shower doors wouldn't shut, shower head didn't work). We requested maintenance through the APP and never got a response. When mentioned to the guy in blue shirt who is selling timeshares, he told us "stuff breaks"! Speaking of the guys in the dark blue shirts, if you're offered something FREE at the resort, remember there is always a catch, in this case, lets try and sell a timeshare. The food was good, not great. My husband got food poisoning from the fish that is grilled per order in the buffet. He was very sick for 2 days. We stayed away from any food sat near the grill that needed to be cooked per order. The drinks are all full of sugar, except the beer. Even the juices were just sugar drinks, not actual juice. If you want shade, you need to go to the beach (which was great). There were only about 5 umbrellas all together at the pools. There was very limited reservation times to the restaurants. Overall, I would not recommend this property for a vacation to anyone. Look elsewhere.

Over all a decent experience

Friendly, fun, helpful staff, great selection of food, beautiful beach and pools. Loved the coffee bar cafe.

Staff very friendly. Stayed 3 nights. Enjoyed entertainment on 2 of the nights- live band and silent disco. Didn´t enjoy the other night as I don´t like karaoke. Room- basic but clean, smell in the bathroom of mould/ drains

Lots of options, good entertainment, food by the beach all day, rooms on the adult area are very nice as well as a good working AC.

The food was not great not the quality I was expecting.
