The rating is given on a 3 stars hotel standard. The room size is quite good, with clean bedding and OK to sleep mattress. It is located inside a park which could take at least 7-10 mins to go to tram station. Avoid this if you need to walk and move around frequently. The shower is great while the toilet is a bit basic, it works but just not comfortable enough. The reception staff only gives cold communication, no warm welcome or greetings. The hotel asked for name only for check in and hand out room key, which does not check passport or ID, not sure if this is compliance and safe. The room does not have air conditioning, so you can only open your window. Some insects and flies can come in as it is inside the park. Avoid if you are sensitive to this, but it is ok for me as there is no noise during my stay. There are some signs of worn out facilities of the room.

Was a bit unsure about staying at Hotel Hoevevoorde because of the mixed reviews and even Wanderlog warning about it, but it turned out to be a really nice experience. Came with my kid and they had a great time at the playground, and the food was honestly better than expected. The hotel is set right in the middle of a park, which makes it perfect for a relaxing walk outside. The room and bed were a bit on the smaller side, but it didn’t really bother us. Parking is free and there’s plenty of space, which made things easy. We paid around €100 without breakfast, which felt fair, and I’d definitely recommend it.

Wouldn’t stay here again. I was really disappointed by my experience here. The pictures were deceiving, it looked way nicer than it actually was. We showed up after hours of traveling, expecting a nice room, and walked into a dirty room that wasn’t cleaned. (Pictures below) Told the front desk, and instead of offering us a different room, they apologized and told us they would clean it in 10 minutes, and offered us a round of drinks. They did clean up the room, but was very disappointed with the way the situation was handled as this is such a huge deal. The room itself was very small, the walls were paper thin, you could hear everything and it was super noisy all of the time. Bed was uncomfortable, and the water pressure was bad in the shower. Even though we had a private room, it felt like a hostel experience rather than a nice hotel. Couldn’t recommend to anyone as the price is high, and you could get better sleep elsewhere.

I didn't feel very welcome. The hotel service is really bad. I got a 'luxury room' because the other ones were taken, but the WiFi-Signal was dead, so I could not use the internet in my room (which I'd like to use for casting/tv). The staff was really sweet, but it seems like their bosses are the ones not taking good care (of them+service). The guy was bossing around about the tables while I was taking breakfast.. I know it's Dutch horeca to act mean, but that is not decent behavior and as a very sensitive person this really stings. I guess it's nice for work-meetings, but hotel not so much. Room had some nice aspects but felt too white. It was clean and the food was good.

Of the 8 hotels i stayed in this holiday, this was the worst. On the pictures it looks great, but its a rundown place. The room was small, the bed even smaller, you could hardly call it a two personbed. A noisy ventilation system running all night. Ironically the bathroom was nog connected to it though. That one had an open airduct to the smokeplace and garbage storage. The smell became more and more unbearable during the night, even leaking into the room. What was supposed to be a relax last night to break the drive home, became a worthless experience. I drove away more tired then when i arrived.
