Very Friendly staff Old property but very clean

This is a wonderful building with a fascinating history, and is clearly an important asset for the local community. Breakfast is cooked to order, and there's a good bar food menu.

The people. Good old fashioned hospitality. Tremendous hosts who show interest in their guests.

The price you pay sets the standards

Hotel is run by amazing family. Is not new or modern by warm, family atmosphere gives a lot. My family was very happy to stay there for one night on our Welsh trip. Breakfast was amazing. Staff was very helpful. We feels like at home. If I visit this area in future, would not hesitate to book the room in this hotel again.

Apart from the sqeeky floor in most areas(it's an old building so understandable) it was lovely and quiet I would go again.

I stayed here in a family room with my partner, son and dog and we had a great time. Check-in was seamless. The owners greeted us so nicely and made such a fuss of my dog. Immediately a very warm and homely feel. We are already planning our return. 5* for everything apart from property condition/facilities as it is rather dated- HOWEVER, everywhere is spotless.

food options were v large and good. but they were a bit too large for us oldies.

It was in a good location but we had a little problem locating the car park.

Lovely comfortable stay. Breakfast one of the best we’ve had- thank goodness we ordered the ‘small one’- really generous! Very convenient for rest of town, and Port Almwych.

Old building with lots of character. Basic accommodation but suited our needs for an overnight stopover. Everyone we met in the area was welcoming and talkative and there is plenty of parking.

The Hotel is quite dated, but very clean beds were very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and professional the owners who are very much hands on and helpful are amazing the included breakfast was excellent and we ate from the bar menu on the Friday night I had the Steak and Ale Pie served with Chips and peas and my wife had a Jacket Potato with a cheese and onion filling served with a lovely fresh salad and creamy coleslaw and everything was delicious we would highly recommend the food options available to anyone. Thank you so much for an excellent stay

Staff and food where fantastic

Very helpful reception and friendly staff. Family run. Felt welcome. Very dog friendly. The pub/rooms are warm and comfortable. The bar is fairly priced. Breakfast is excellent and generous. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.
