The location was perfect - just outside the gate! The grounds were immaculate, with views you couldn't believe. Animals right from your dinner! The food was excellent - I couldn't believe how good given it was buffet style! I would definitely stay here again!!

Great views and contact with the animals

Location is one of the only things going for this lodge. It’s just by the gate to get into Sossusvlei. Staff are rude and inattentive. You get allocated a table for dinner but difficult to get attention to order drinks or to clear away your plates. It’s all buffet service so plenty of choice. They cater for bus loads of groups and not individuals. Found the bar staff rude and dismissive. Lunch options are poor, and you can’t order an à la carte lunch till after 2.30 and then limited options. We ended going to the garage a short walk away.

The property was very average and not worth the money. On the up side, Assistant F&B Manager, Benny Amutenya really tried hard to make amends to the lack of empathy for my food intolerances, which had been flagged twice prior to our stay. He was very apologetic and acknowledged. Thank you Benny. The lodge lacked ambience.

The accommodation is close to the NP. very simple, the room smells of the sink and mold. The dinner is very tasty and wide variety of the food.

Loved this peaceful oasis, especially after hot and sandy days in the desert. Lovely dinner buffet, nice rooms and lovely sunset views.

We had a very nice stay overall. Our chalet was spacious with an amazing desert & mountain view. We opted in for full board and food was great with plenty of choice. A bit weirdly, we had fish which was fresh and well prepared (couldn't say the same for all the places we stayed at in Namibia, even of others were by the ocean). Finally, the property's location is very good for visiting Sossusvlei - right at the park's great, not and hour drive away like many others.

I came to Namibia to photograph the country, especially Deadvlei. I traveled 1000 miles in a 4x4 truck and I travel spontaneously without a strict itinerary. I needed a hotel to stay near the entrance to Namibi Naukluft Park and Sossuvlei Lodge was perfect!! It is located a 3-minute drive from the park entrance. It was perfect. While staying at the lodge, I was able to find dark space back behind my room and get incredible photos of the stars and the Milky Way. The lodge is beautiful and luxurious. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast and dinner were top-notched and included such interesting and delicious foods. I didn't realized until I checked out that this lodge is considered one of the best in the world! I whole-heartedly recommend Sossuvlei Lodge!

This was an excellent lodge with a wonderful adventure center that enabled us to enjoy our stay to the fullest extent. Also, the food was delicious!

Views of the desert

We stayed two nights at Sossuvlei Lodge - as it is a perfect jumping off point into the national park. This location worked well for their organised morning tour (which eas good) and a self-guided trip to Sesriem Canyon. The lodge is larger and more busy than many other in Namibia (because of the location) so be prepared for a lot of people and Western style busy dinner buffet. The lodge is unbounded to the desert which is nice for seeing Oryx come wandering nearby. Our room was large, but the bathroom oddly hot with a strange smell. Overall, the place was what we wanted so we we're pleased with our stay.

Overall: excellent property with perfect food choices. Needs to improve in unit: (a) toilet is smelly and (b) AC capacity is not enough.

Right at the Sossusvlei park gate. Beautiful desert setting. Welll laid out with convenient central area for dining, bar and services.

We had an amazing stay! Room 145 with the little pool was stunning! We used the pool everyday. The room is super spacious, beautifully decorated, every detail is perfect. The food was very good with a big variety to choose from. We took one of their activity flights to see an aerial view, highly recommend it!

This property was decent and clean and very close to the dunes entry area. Our unit was a bit of a walk away from the parking area so that was a challenge. Also, there is no wifi in the rooms (really no wifi in all of the area). You had to go to the restaurant or bar area to get wifi and that was very frustrating. I could not even make phone calls from my room without a wifi connection. I think this information should be made known ahead of time so people can prepare for that situation.

Loved everything about this resort, the stuff were soo welcoming and lovely. The meals were amazing, rooms and public facilities were spotless! I would recommend 100%
