Breakfast - There needs to be improvements on the selection and quantities. One of the days went to breakfast and they literally said a certain goof was finished and it would take 45 minutes to make it . Cleanliness - The corridors had damp smell. One of the days they had an air humidifier in the corridor which sorta helped. But in the room the aircon had a funny sound and air wasn’t fresh.

Breakfast needs a lot of improvement. I had to keep calling front desk for them to turn the geyser on as somehow they turn it off and water was cold unless they’re called to turn it on. The aircons works but was making a noisy sound and air wasn’t fresh

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bathroom however requires some maintenance as there is mold around the bath and tiles. Also the shower attachments are loose (Room 207). Note that for me the bed was too soft.

Yes to both I was not impressed with the bar situation. As an old man with knee problems in order to get a beer I had to climb about 50 steps. When I arrived at the bar I wanted to sit and enjoy a cold beer and check my phone for messages. I discovered the wifi I was paying for did not in the bar. I understand the hotel is owned by Muslims. If you do not believe people should drink alchohol stand by your belief. Serve nothing in the hotel but please in Booking. Com advertise as such. I like a glass of red wine with dinner sorry if that offends your religion but let me know in advance so I can book into another hotel or lodge

This is an excellent hotel with good customer service. Comfortable rooms, courteous staff and an ambient and relaxing atmosphere. My only negative comment is that the pool is not maintained properly and I was not able to swim as it looked dirty. After I made this comment to the front desk they assured me that next time it will be clean so we will see. Otherwise this is an excellent hotel but just let down by this one area.

Pleasant well set out property on outskirt of Mzuzu on main road. Good amenities and service. Very efficient staff. Much better value than Rival sunbird.

I stopped in Mzuzu for what was meant to be a quick overnight trip, and has turned into an almost 2-week visit. When I arrived, I checked in easily and went to my room. We then went out to do some errands. When I returned, I admit I was a bit rude with one of the front desk employees because there had been some kind of an issue with their ability to verify my payment through Expedia. He was a pure professional despite my attitude, for which I later apologized. The staff here are incredible. From the housekeepers, laundry, restaurant, bellman (watch out, he's a boxer!) and more. The restaurant on site has a very diverse menu of great choices, and room service was always prompt and on point. This will be my hotel of choice when I am visiting Mzuzu. The owners and managers should be proud of their team and performance.

It is a nice property but considering that it is classing itself as a top standard hotel, more attention to detail should be given. The hotel lists as having a pool but in reality it is more like a pond ! And not ideal for a serious swim and also does not look very clean. Also some of the chairs around the pool were broken. In the rooms I only found one plug socket which was rather annoying. They try to make one socket for every nation but not very helpful. The restaurant service is good but the chefs are Indian so most food is spicy and people should be aware that this hotel does not serve alcohol although they don't make this clear unless pressed. The first night I was just told that the hotel did not have any wine which I found very strange for a top class hotel but later a manager explained that they don't serve alcohol although they will sometimes get it for you from a bar next door . All in all a nice property, rooms are clean and beds comfortable but some improvements are needed.

The staff are super friendly. The restaurant happens to be the best place in town to eat. I have stayed here before and will plan to do so again whenever I am in Mzuzu.

Poor electric problems in Mzuzu, Hotel didn't have backup generators working during the stay. This is notorious in December, family friends informed me during my stay. Electric went off in the middle of the night Sun / Mon morning, off until returned to Hotel during the evening. Again went off during Mon night / Tue morning and didn't come back on during Tuesday morning and early afternoon.
