The hotel is very convenient for the airport - which it offers free transfers to and from. The staff are all friendly and very efficient (eg when I reported on arrival that the safe in the room was locked, a replacement safe was brought to the room immediately.) The rooms are spacious, clean and serviced well. The only thing that maybe could be improved were the breakfasts (which were the same selection every day).

For the price it qualifies as acceptable accommodations, but this is not a “nice” hotel by any western standards. If you want something nicer there are other options in Antananarivo. If you want something cheap and not horrible this will suffice. They staff was friendly and they do try their best to make for a nice stay but keep in mind you are going to get what you pay for.

Overall, a decent accommodation. Large rooms, well appointed. Staff helpful and attentive. It's a Chinese hotel, as is the restaurant, if that matters to you. Good food! Problems: No hot shower! Power and wi fi in and out all the time. Never for extended amounts of time, but annoying. Not a bad place, just know what to expect. I probably could have switched rooms regarding the shower, but I tolerated the shower well enough. My travel mate's room had plenty of hot water, too.

Nice and grand lobby. The manager welcomes and helps us with the Chinese menu. Free shuttle bus to International Airport with 5 minute driving distance. Excellent service over all! Definitely will book this hotel again if we come back Madagascar.

The restaurant was excellent

The front desk was helpful, and restaurant was great.

This hotel is behind a gate with armed guards. You can’t go outside because there’s no place to go. The pool area was off limits. Only place you could go to was lobby - which was stark and simply had seatings. Breakfast was alright if you like seine cold fried egg and mystery meat. Airport shuttle was provided by 3 young guys who were all drinking beer as they drove me to hotel. While hotel staff quite friendly - the property was dirty and carpet had stains throughout. The hotel is only minutes from airport but overall- not a pleasant place.

The room we were provided had A LOT of empty beer bottles still in the room. The hotel also offers airport shuttle. I confirmed this and the time of my needed departure. When it was time to go, they told me they didn't have a driver for the shuttle and didn't seem interested in helping to get a taxi for us. The end result was that we missed our flight which cost A LOT of money and two days of delay. Avoid this hotel.

We had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Very clean too. And it is located very near the airport (with a free shuttle service) where we had a flight the next day.

Asia Africa Hotel is an interesting and eclectic experience. Most guests are from either Asia or Africa. It’s 1.1 km from the airport. The ceilings are very high with lots of marble and some beautiful sculptures. However it is not warm, it doesn’t feel comfortable to me.

Very helpful and accommodating staff. Close to the airport. Really good food. Pool was closed during my stay and few minor issues with my room. TV remote didn’t work and AC not very cold, they would have probably fixed both had I asked but I was too lazy. This is my go to hotel when staying in Tana.

We liked how friendly the staff was but the hallways smelt like cigarette smoke.

The rooms are very large and comfortable. Clean modern bathrooms with great water pressure and shower heads. Staff is very friendly, bringing you a snack everyday. Pool is large, but they could use some loungers out there. The breakfast buffet was pretty sad. I don’t know if we just got to it late (8:15), but there wasn’t much there and what was there was not that good. Restaurant just serves Chinese, so if you want something else, Mo’s Cafe next door is pretty good.

Best place near airport if you're just passing through Antananarivo.
