You could not ask for a better location! The apartment was amazingly spacious and clean. The communication was always quick and helpful. Having just travelled around the uk for 2 weeks, we did notice that there seems to be less attention paid to the common areas than the actual space. In this case, there is a stairwell that’s historically old. If a stairwell is your primary focus, maybe not for you. Everything else was superb! Safety, traveling with a family of four, was never in question. The area is well lit and busy. You can even watch some of the street shows from the windows : ) Would stay time and time again.

Great stay recently at the Burnets apartment in the heart of Edinburgh’s historic Old Town. Wonderfully situated on the Royal Mile the apartment was clean, spacious and welcoming. Bedrooms are situated to the rear of the building so noice from the busy street below was virtually non existent. Great communication from the Burnets team also who made us feel very welcome from our arrival to departure. Will book here again for our next trip, definitely.

Great location across the street from St. Giles church. Walking distance to all major attractions in Old Town Edinburgh. Apartment was spacious for our family of five. The host was very helpful and very communicative. I highly recommend staying at these apartments.

Apartment was located in the center of city with many amenities and activities nearby. Communication was easy and quick. Great views of city and bustling night life. Private and secure entrance and access

Not a modern apartment in any sense of the word, decor looks dated from circa 2005 as well as the technology and was told it had been student accommodation recently. Had to chase check-in info and then wait for keys to be cut as landlord was still getting the place ready, Apartment was old, tired and worn, lightbulbs were missing, light fixing in bathroom just hanging out by wires, floor tiles loose and cracked, no hand soap in any of the dispensers, no tea/coffee or washing up liquid, not even any toilet paper, bathroom sink was blocked, no internet as advertised, a 5G dongle was promised to be delivered the first night and only delivered a day later after being chased. Heating stopped working on the first morning as boiler lost pressure and landlord had to come over again as apartment was freezing. Heating or hot water wasn't right during our stay. Window blinds missing string to close them. Standard terrestrial TV that had to be retuned for 15 mins every time it was turned on. No extra blankets just one thin duvet in a cold apartment. Apartment maintenance has just been neglected and it felt cheap and as little as possible has been spent on it. Location and view from window was great but little else. Would not stay there again.

Not good. Very noisy with building renovations right beneath the apartment, very dirty entrance, no water pressure in shower, broken toilet seat, broken washing machine.

Wow! One of the best rental apartments I have stayed in. I loved the design and location. Wished I could've stayed here longer. I would highly recommend staying here!

Had a great stay. First apartment had a heating issue but I was moved to a fabulous apartment with stunning views.

Lovely kitchen/lounge area but furniture very tired. Sitting furniture very impractical and uncomfortable. Shower quality not commensurate with “penthouse”. Could be a fabulous apartment with better quality furnishings.

Great apartment and a stone's throw from Edinburgh castle. The unit is very well equipped. Appreciated the detailed instructions left to utilise the units TV, stereo etc. This unit is high on our list for a return visit.

Not sure why this is considered a hotel. It was nice, but it is not a hotel, more like an airbnb or something. No check-in desk, no daily cleaning service, no luggage storage. The close (alley) was dirty and the main door to the apartment building is across from a trash container that had broken glass all around it. But the apartment itself was clean, spacious, has a great location. I also think it is a bit overpriced. If it were on another website that is not for hotels, the price would probably have been less.

Absolutely superb. Starting with the location, it is slap bang in the middle of the Royal Mile. Unbelievable. But whats great is its in a close so you have the peace and quiet when you are in your luxurious apartment - a huge open plan kitchen and lounge with wonderful views of the city. The apartment has two rooms, one with a double bed and en suite bathroom and another bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. This room also has a walk in wardrobe. Additionally there is another bathroom so there are 2 bathrooms in total in the apartment. So clean too. Towels etc are provided as is cutlery in the kitchen. Microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, electric cooker, you name it its all there. A large flat screen TV in the lounge with comfy sofas and a DVD and blu ray player, sky TV and most importantly of all a Playstation 3 which was crucial for our reunion of university friends. In the build up and while we were there, Sean was fantastic in giving us information and communicating with us. Honestly I was so surprised with how great this apartment. It was a joy coming back to it every day. And the location could not get better. Walk down the steps and you come to where the bus from the airport will drop you. Buy the £7.50 return from the Airlink bus stand at the airport and catch the 100 bus each way. Easy as pie. I will be back, great stay.

Could not imagine a better location for seeing all the popular attractions, minutes by foot from Castle, Holyrood Palace, St Giles Cathedral, Museums and Galleries, restaurants and bars by the dozen within 5 minutes walk.....super fun and exciting vibe right out the front door. The location is a little intimidating when you first arrive and climb the stairs towards the apartment, you may initially think that you made a mistake renting this place, but once you step inside and then discover how great a location you are in you will be sure to have a great time.....would 100% recommend......I regularly stay in ultra high end 5 star hotels throughout the world, in not saying this is the same as a Four Seasons or Ritz etc. but it's a really great place to stay in Edinburgh, keep in mind this is a very old building in a very old city....rooms are small compared to newer building in other parts of the world, but everything in this place is perfect for what you need in Edinburgh....

Amazing location right on Royal mile. Building front a bit run down and only 1 bathroom were the only negatives.

You won't regret to book this apartment.

We stayed in an 'apartment' rather than a hotel . The apartment was clean and the facilities/accommodation reasonable. The main disadvantage and reason for the low rating was that apartment was on the fifth floor of an apartment block (see below) and subject to high volumes of external noise - there was no secondary glazing. The information provided both by Expedia and on the company's own website did not make it clear that the apartment was on the fifth floor requiring some 80 steps to reach it. Since we are both in our late 60s. this was most unfortunate. I suggested to a member of the company's staff that they amend their website and she agreed to consider this. We were subsequently (two days later) given another apartment nearby, which was on the second floor with only 40 steps to climb - a slight improvement. Secondary glazing in the living area but not in the bedroom that was adjacent to a bar!

This apartment was advertised as a "luxury" apartment. Whilst I appreciate it was in an old building that had been refurbished, the number of things that didn't work outnumbered the things that did. These include: 1. hot water that was rarely hot 2. a dishwasher that didn't actually wash the dishes- in fact they were dirtier after they had been through a cycle 3. a washing machine/dryer combo that didn't work 4. a bed in the main bedroom that was broken and that was so low to the ground a hoist was required to get in and out
