Everything is amazing. The location and hotel is beautiful. The staff is incredibly friendly. Special mentions to Mario, he will help you with everything around the hotel! Resolves anything immediately and the most friendly person. All the kitchen staff and people in the dining room! All of them! Chef is great and a lot of food options. From the bar: William! What a great guy always with a smile. Jose Luis, Roger, Damara, such friendly and nice people!!! Carlos and Wilmer who help you with the chairs and umbrellas thanks!! Also Carlos internal security, also defends marine life and makes sure all tourists respect the sea and its animals, what a blessing for this hotel to have him. Front desk is the only place where you are not greeted or treated very kindly, most of these girls have attitude. I had a question and went to front desk and instead of resolving the issue, they were giving me more issues and were really rude, I had to stop them immediately I guess they forget that they are not doing you a favor, you pay to be there! The only 2 people in front desk who are nice are Stefany and victor. Other than that, I stay in this place 3-4 times a year but next time will think about because of the issues with the people in front desk

The staff was so courteous! William the bartender was amazing! The wedding we attended at San Simon was so beautiful! The food…I can’t say enough good things. We didnt have anything that wasn’t cooked to perfection! We stayed for 7 days and would definitely return! Everything was very clean and well kept! The pool by our room was being repaired, and that was disappointing, but it was nearly finished when we left. We still had the beautiful beach and the pool was always perfect. Bonus..Demera? The barista; had our coffee done to perfection by the time she spotted us and we walked up, she always remembered what we liked. Even the security guard Mark and Greg were always so courteous and we felt completely safe at all times.

The beach is beautiful, awesome !! But the service is very poor

Everything in the hotel is great except for Brittny or brinny don’t know her name well. She makes the hotel experience terrible. She is not even nice or friendly. Other than that, amazing stay. But I would doubt staying again if I have to be greeted by her in front desk .

Very welcoming staff, when I first arrived there, the front desk staff Stephanie and Shemar helped is quickly check in and walked us to our room and showed us all the ameneties. Bar staff William, Stephanie and Elizabeth ALWAYS greeted us with a smile. The drinks were always delicious. Would have loved if there were more fruit options at the buffets throughout the day. Houskeepimg always did a great job. Beach was cleam and beautiful. The staff will be the reason why I come back. Thank you for welcoming us.

WiFi needs improvement. We could not get any WiFi at all. But everything else was perfect

I had an excellent experience at the Mayan hotel! The team there was super friendly and went out of their way to help us with everything we needed. Plus, the food and drinks were top-notch! I can't wait to come back!

I want to start by saying that Britney was absolutely great, she was very friendly and helpful. When we arrived we were received by a blond heavy set woman wearing red lipstick, she was rude and combative I really wasn't sure why since I had never seen her in my life, she started by asking if we would be needing a ride to the airport and that we need to to let her know right there and then otherwise we wouldn't be able to be allow to get a ride, we also paid for a studio room and we were send to a basic rundown room that not even the toilet worked. After a whole day of trying to figure out what would happen to the toilet in the room Britney was kind enough to move us to a more comfortable room than where we were put in. The food is not the best they put this chimichury sauce that's not even chimichury is just garlic and oil on everything, we had to get mostly most dinners outside the resort since I couldn't really stomach all the food that was serve, Mostly I had Fruit and coffee. some staff were nice others were absolutely rude and just disrespectful period, there were two older guys part of the staff that were so nasty that I wasn't sure what their issue was.
