The rooms were quite comfy and the service was good overall. However, the location was a real hassle to get to 😩. The remoteness made it a bit of a challenge to find. Still, the views were lovely and the serenity was awesome. 🏞️ We enjoyed a boat ride and hiking the nearby island. The steak and beach atmosphere were great too, especially with the night fire 🔥.

The road to the hotel is rough but when you arrive there, the beauty of the place will make you forget about the journey. The environment is calming and relaxing.

Really enjoyed my time at Rushel Kivu Lodge. Such a beautiful place. I stayed in the standard tent and it was amazing. I had a full shower and toilet in a side tent, and you have an amazing view. very very nice, access to beach, nice little restaurant with some delicious Tilapia and breakfast, and very friendly staff

This has been one of the gems of our trip to Rwanda on the occasion of the world championship of cycling. Superb hotel by Lake Kivu with splendid gardens, idyllic view and small beach. Large and comfortable room with excellent bed. Very friendly and pro active staff. Good restaurant where we loved our Tilapia fish and our afternoon cake of the day. One of Rwanda's top 4 coffee plantations is next door and a young engineer working there gave us a highly interesting tour of it. The only issue is access to the hotel, which is very difficult as there is currently no tarmac road but the manager told us there would be one by January 2026. This being said, the landscapes and village on the way to the hotel are very beautiful and illustrative of how local communities live.

HEAVEN ON EARTH. Months later, I still crave this place so much ! Absolutely everything is wonderful about it, the service, the fresh bio food, the rooms, the landscape… bring me back! I would advise to reach this place by boat though !
