The staff here were wonderful; helpful and friendly and surpassed expectations. On arrival we were offered a welcome drink which was refreshing and unexpected. Check in was easy. The aircon was good even in the extreme heatwave. The food in the restaurant was exceptional and the quirky house cocktails very intresting and enjoyable. We had a twin room deluxe with balcony and it was nice to sit out in the evening. The toiletries were high quality and water in our room each day. Had breakfast one day of our stay - it was fresh and plentiful. There was a drain smell that was off putting at various times - we mentioned it and staff tried to Ameliorate this but it still occurred each day - we presumed due to the heatwave. Did not use the spa or rooftop bar due to timings.

Quirky hotel , cool, good bar, nice room . Needs some maintenance but otherwise lovely. The area around the hotel is unfortunately not very pleasant

Gorgeous hotel. A little far from downtown but trolley access is easy. Unique property, clean, great staff. Restaurant seems overpriced for what you get.

The room was advertised as family sized. It was too small for us and our baby, with a big bath tub in the middle of the living area so crib didn’t really fit. We asked for a bigger room at check in. They said none were available. We could only stay one night of 3 because baby couldn’t sleep there. Next day at check out we asked to be reimbursed for at least one of the two remaking nights as a compromise. They said we never raised the concern at check-in - even though we had - and would keep all of our money. Really unclassy. Neighborhood is also very sketchy. Building is ok, but this is not a world class or even high end hotel. And yet they charge as if they are.

Very unique and beautiful decor. Confortable beds and nice amenities in room (Nespresso machine, bath products) Really enjoyed dinner in the courtyard. Very welcoming staff.

The building itself is beautiful and the rooms are nicely styled. That being said, the room was a bit tight and the window overlooking the adjacent street seemingly had zero sound proofing. I had to sleep with earplugs, so if you're a light sleeper try requesting a room that isn't along the street.

Great unique hotel. A little further away from tourist sites but still easily walkable to get to them and the train was easy to take as well with a convenient stop nearby. Pay parking lot was also convenient. Spa was an added bonus and the rooftop and restaurant were fabulous! Definitely recommend!

Location near train station and close to downtown made it ideal for a one night stop over.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were just a tadge too quirky with a toilet that splashes you until you learn you have to put the lid down. No milk or fridge. Front doors to the hotel that kept trapping me. A bit style over substance.

Absolutely loved my room, it was spacious and had a huge tub (my main reason for choosing it) and balcony! I also loved the eclectic interior design scheme. The staff were really lovely and welcoming. Furthermore, I loved how convenient the transport links were, especially as you can get a tram directly to the airport! It only gets 4 stars as the WiFi was only working for 1 out of the 3 days I stayed there and I couldn’t use my Roku, but the winter Olympics were on and I enjoyed watching that. I would stay here again and I would recommend!

Fantastic stay! Very close to the train station (8 min walk) but not so close it's noisy. Walking distance to capucin market (5 min walk) and city center (10-15 min walk). The room was already ready when I arrived early so they let me do an early check-in, which was great to freshen up before enjoying the city. The room was spacious, clean, well-decorated, and had all the needed amenities. Hotel staff was super friendly. I will definitely come back.

The rooms in the zoologie wing were massive as they were in the old historical building. It had bare brick walls, tall ceilings and large windows. The toilet had a quirky cistern and even though the shower room was a huge glass cubicle it didn't take up any unnecessary space. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. The bar area was large due to being in the same wing as our bedroom. Lots of light flooded the room. It had comfy colourful furniture which we used whilst waiting for our room to be ready. The location was close to the train station but not too far to the sightseeing areas of Bordeaux.
