Good place to stay

It was good.

We stay here at least twice a year while visiting family. Everything was of high standards, but we forgot to tell the front desk that the carpet in front of the air conditioner in room 515 was damp and should be checked.

I've made it 40 years of life without ever being informed that a hotel room that I booked (months prior) was not available. I figured it would HAVE to happen some day, but was not prepared for it yesterday when the Fairfield Inn and Suites contacted me to let me know that there was "some emergency" that required the people checking out of my room to extend their trip. I booked this room on February 13 because I'm a planner. So to receive a call 1.5 hours before I'm arriving from 4.5-5 hours away to be informed that they have relocated my reservation another 20 minutes further north -- was not a cool way to cap off an already frustrating drive. So, why the two stars? They did go to the extra effort to rebook us at the secondary hotel. A fact that they reminded me a few times during the call ... like they were somehow trying to reverse mind-eff me into being ok with this inconvenience. If you can somehow guarantee yourself a reservation here, or there are no other lodging options in a 20 minute radius, then I guess go here. Otherwise, you are taking a risk of being inconveniently moved at the last minute.

I really enjoyed how quickly staff members got me into my room and how clean the room was overall

One night stay as part of a longer trip. Hotel was mostly fine and staff was pleasant. Location was conveniently located next to Keltic Table & Tap, so had drinks and dinner there. Breakfast had the usual offerings but the hot foods were barely warm, so I tossed them out and opted for a bagel. **note-this hotel charges $7/day fir parking

Location right off rt 91 was good. There was a bar at the property, but can’t say we used it. Breakfast was better than average with a wide selection of food, hot and cold. The room was modern and clean, but the mattress was lower than average in height and rather uncomfortable . There was an Irish sports bar next door with good food and beer selection. The elevator off the lobby was broken for a few hours the first morning and we observed one of the food workers touching the omelets at the breakfast bar with her bare hands instead of using a utensil to rearrange the food. There was an outside seating area off the lobby with with a gas firepit and chairs for relaxing which was nice. It would have been nice to have a little area with coffee/beverages and snacks available on arrival for the room price we paid.

Liked the room. Didn’t like the eight to twelve year old hockey team members running up and down the hallway pounding on doors Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Near the freeway with easy access to the hotel. Also large green space and pool on the other side so there was no issue with noise.

I liked the convenience of the location especially the quiet neighborhood. The desk clerk, Tory, who checked us in the efficient, courteous and helpful.
