Smartr Madrid Gran Vía 47 is a solid retreat for active dynamic tourists and visitors seeking a central, short stay in Madrid. Its location is good, offering direct access to major sights and transit. Pros: • The central location is truly excellent for exploring the city. • The breakfast provided was high-quality and very satisfying with a nice view of the city. • Reception staff were friendly, helpful, and comfortably multilingual. Cons: • My specific room was very small and felt quite cramped. • Outside street noise occasionally filtered into the living space. • The bed could be better Overall, it is a convenient "home base" if you plan to spend most of your time out exploring the city.

Staff members were extremely helpful and supportive. The location is excellent, you can find a variety of stores and local restaurants. The room was ok but the shower was very very tiny. Great time in Madrid.

The room is clean but the bathroom is tiny and water pressure is too strong, not easy for showering

Great location, very centric, all the shoppings and restaurants, tourist sites near by. The downside is that the walls are not soundproof so you can hear all the conversations in the hallway, room next door and all the staff cleaning. Noisy! The room itself was convenient because it included some appliances in the kitchen, bathroom too small for the price. But clean!

Room smelled extremely strong like cigarretts, even when it stated it was non smoking. Room was dirty, furniture is old and worn. Room was not ready until 1 1/2 hours later than the stated check in time. Front desk is not very useful, property is not safe, any one can walk in and go up to the rooms since no key is needed for the elevator. Roof top image does not correspond to this hotel, it does not have a roof top, it corresponds to another one of their location a little bit further down. I booked for the price and availability, considering I had stayed in their other location in grand via 14 and had an amazing experience, this is deffinetly no where near similar. I did not stay at the room as it was unlivable, ended up using just as storage and staying the nights of my trip in friends room at another hotel. There were people complaigning at the front desk everytime I went by. Bath tub was dirty. I WILL NOT BOOK EVER AGAIN AND I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Terrible place, room and amenities for the price.

The location is great, next to Callao metro station, you can walk anywhere from there and have many restaurants and shops close by. The staff is very kind and helpful. Rooms are small but clean and functional. Would stay here again.

Room looked nothing like the pictures or description. Old, dirty and very well worn. Room size is tiny, access to the toilet past the bed is minimal. Permanent smell of a herbal odour from the local residents in the apartments, Bob Marley would be happy. We lasted 5 mins and left to find another hotel. Quite frankly a totally disgraceful .

The room was different than the photo in the app. The bed was little than the mattres and my husband and I were slip to the floor in both sides. The tv control was bandage with tape and has no batteries. They bought some in the second day but doesn't worked it. So it was ok but not good at all. ..

Great location, the hotel is old.

It was awful.

The apartment was plagued by black mold, and the floor and overall condition were deplorable. The size of the shower or toilet did not conform to any standard non-American or European code. To add insult to injury, the constant disturbance of the rest was a significant issue throughout the night and day. The sound of water running from the pipes in the room from other rooms, the constant smoking from attendants in the storage room, and the pervasive odor made the apartment unsuitable for anyone. It is a dilapidated and unsanitary place, and the price is not justified.
