Despite an awesome location, Shore Club is one of the worst stays I've had at any price yet I paid $375 a night.
I was told I could check in early, but when I got there, they said the cable provider was doing things so we had to wait. Then they told us we can't park in the lot because it is reserved for condo owners. They pointed us towards a first come first served public parking area. We had to finds street parking in a busy resort area.
The hallways were a dank dark blue and led us to our very musty room. There was no way to call the front desk because it was abandoned. The sheets felt like cardboard, the bed horrible, and lighting in the room was inexplicable poor with a range of 5000K LED desk lamps and regular incandescent which made it hard to have them all on at the same time. The room had zero character or comfort. I was awakened at 3 am by somebody stumbling around the room above us as there is no sound insulation anywhere.
In the morning I had to make a pot of coffee in the "breakfast library" myself because there was no one to be found even though the sign told me to "ask front desk attendant" if something needed to be replenished.
There was no maid service but I did find towels in the "CLOSED" exercise room which was converted to store clean linens and towels on the floor and piled on the exercise equipment.
This is a dump taking prime rates from a captive audience attending events at Road America. Here us a typical photo you can expect.
