Was really nice room, seaview but unfortunately scaffolding is still up but will be lovely when done. Room spacious, clean and newly painted. Bathroom looked new too and shower was really nice. Had evening meal at hotel and couldn't fault it. Staff were helpful and friendly. It was lovely and quiet. quiet.quiet.srecommend.

The room was very clean and tidy, and the view was fantastic, the floor to ceiling windows gave us a very good view of the sea and the Abbey. The best room we have had after the upgrade.

Staff excellent and professional very helpful couldn’t do enough for you The room was lovely room 410 but was a fair walk from lift would have been nice to have a bath but other than that it was lovely Food at the hotel was top notch everything you need for breakfast staff was excellent recommend this hotel and that’s why we always come back Shaun and Julie

Bar prices were expensive and the rowdy I’m guessing non resident customers weren’t controlled, we left and went to our room. Otherwise a lovely hotel.

We had an amazing stay at the Royal Hotel Whitby. The room was amazing and beautifully furnished. Staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast had a great selection of hot and cold food and with high quality ingredients. This was the perfect place from which to explore Whitby.

Did not eat here. Had drinks in the bar which is well stocked. The hotel is beautifully decorated. Rooms, bed,pillows comfy. Depending on your room excellent views over the harbour/abbey . Short, easy walk into town.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, car park around rear of hotel very convenient, room with view over harbour towards abbey superb. Despite very cold weather hotel warm throughout. Excellent breakfast choices.

Staff went above and beyond to help

Just getting home from a lovely weekend with my hubby the hotel was beautiful clean and very helpful staff breakfast was beautiful plenty to chose from and will return later on in the year as the weather was very snowy so found getting around on foot was horrendous like a skating rink to walk on but overall a great time away.

Lovely hotel . Room was a good size and clean . Staff always really friendly , well stocked bar with plenty of seating areas . Restaurant meal was really nice and fairly priced . Limited parking but you are able to book in advance

Lovely room after upgrading to a seaview, however £163 a night with no breakfast is ridiculous, won't be staying again.
