Very nice hotel near entrance of Nara Deer Park. Deer often outside hotel in the evenings. Rooms small, but comfortable. European style showers and Japanese toilets. We had Japanese western style room with beds on floor. They were nice, but on firmer side. AC good in the very hot summer. They also have a small public bath and beauty rooms for men & women. Too hot for us to use in the summer but seemed nice. Coin laundry, pajamas & slippers provided. TV & WiFi. Starbucks with view of pond and attached mini store in hotel as well as Family Mart 3 min walk away. Near town, but 20 min or more to temples.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. My favorite part was that the deer walk right up to the hotel from Nara park! It is a lovely, clean hotel, and there is a coin washing machine if you need it. The location is close to food areas, also.

Great hotel

Hotel was clean, staff friendly and in a perfect spot for those that want some peace at the end of the day. Private Shower or use of Public Bath (which is very nice to soak aching feet). Sarusawa Pond is beautiful to look out at either from the terrace or local Starbucks. Wild Deer on your doorstep and Nara Park a short walk. Plenty of food spots to pick from covering most if not all styles (including macdonalds if you're picky). Perfect Stay, would 100% stay again.

Great view, clean room, very friendly and accommodating staff

Hotel location is fab, right beside Nara Park. Our room was a good size with a balcony view of the temple. There was no breakfast available but a Starbucks on the ground floor which was very reasonably priced.

The reception in the evening at our check-in was great, answered our questions with grace and warmth, was friendly with our young kids. The location and lounge were good too, however the breakfast left a lot to be desired, it was a bento box containing rice, salmon, a slice of egg, sausage, a piece of lettuce, and a burdock root salad... Making the experience fall short. Otherwise a good stay.

Ideal for small shops, supermarkets and the main sites. A relaxing view of the lake.

Perfect location, beautiful pond view from our room, close to everything. Staff was lovely, room was big and bright, onsen was a nice way to end the day.

Location to the temple and park was excellent. It had a great view and close to shops, restaurants. A great hotel and also next to a Starbucks!!

Good location

Generally ok for couples without family. With family it can be quite noisy as walls are thin and it is outside the temples. At times, got the bell so kids wake up.

We loved the 2nd floor lounge that guests had access to, even though our room was a generous size. It was equipped with toasters, microwave, filtered water, soft drinks, and hot drinks. Our breakfast was delivered to our room each day in little bento boxes - we chose to eat in the aforementioned lounge. The hotel has a wonderful modern Japanese vibe, the rooms were very stylish. The on-site Onsen was very nice after a long day sightseeing. The hotel is very conveniently located for very easy access to Nara Park adjacent to Sarusawa Pond. There is even a Starbucks on site for those need it (even though there’s free coffee upstairs).

We really enjoyed our stay in a Western-style Japanese room. It was more spacious than many in Japan, with comfortable mattresses on a raised platform. There is a public bath in the hotel which was a nice way to relax in the afternoon. The hotel is right next to the entrance to Nara Deer Park and a five or six minute walk from Nara Kintetsu railway station. The area is relatively quiet at night but there are plenty of good dining options and it's convenient for shopping etc.

Spacious, close to tourist attractions

I got a corner room on 4th floor with nice view of a lake. There was interesting story regarding the lake and in my room, there were Japanese Waka(poem) written as decorations. There is no restaurant and a breakfast provided was a bento box. Food itself was fine.
