It was good overall.

Good location, 5 minute walk into the town centre. Fusty and stale smell throughout, and with a front bedroom facing onto a main road, I had to close the window to get any quiet - as soon as I did the fusty smell became quite unbearable. Claiming to be a basic hotel is one thing, but it doesn’t excuse how gross the place is. Staff friendly enough but visibly disinterested.

You get what you pay for. The room was very dated, carpeted bathroom, bedding was relatively clean but the bed wasn't hugely comfortable. Didn't use the mugs in the room as they were dirty. However, it was incredibly cheap so can't complain at that price.

I stayed for one night and appreciated having an affordable place close to the station, with plenty of shops nearby. I was also happy to find a kettle with coffee and tea, which made for a fresh and pleasant morning. The only downside was that there was no hand soap or shampoo provided, which would have made the stay more comfortable. Overall, I’m satisfied with what I received for the price and happy with my stay

Helpful & friendly staff, comfortable room

Stayed just one night in a twin room, which was fine for the relatively low price and included free parking. A lovely old building, but in need of some decoration to freshen it up a bit. No soap in the bathroom. Can't comment on the dining area or food as we didn't have any. Didn't see anyone else staying there, but was told they were fairly busy? Bar area OK, a short use of the dart board resulted in the surrounding tyre falling off when removing the darts. Cigarette stub under a seat in the same area (possibly walked in on someone's shoe?). Staff (mostly one man), was very nice and helpful.

Simple basic but unpretentious. Not trying to be anything it's not. Price EXCELLENT.

The hotel was somewhere to stay for the night. Basic, but clean with necessary amenities. The location was a challenge to find on a busy road, but a call to the staff provided a courteous and helpful set of directions, with one outside to guide me into the parking space. En~suite toilet and shower, TV and tea making facilities. Good value for money if you are looking for a cheap and simple place to stay.
