Excellent location and staff!

Wonderful property in heart of Old San Juan. Walkable to historic sites and the water. Lots of shopping and dining options close by. Building itself is quaintly old and well maintained. Open bar and free bottle of wine were nice plus.

Lovely place to stay. Friendly staff, pet friendly, and quiet. Simply perfect, chill and relaxing. Puerto Rico never disappoints and El Colonial was nothing short of great, as expected. Definitely recommend staying there.

Does not have an elevator and my room was on the 4th floor. Not very convenient or easy to get to. The building /Hotel was hard to locate because the outside sign with it's name on it was very small. Also, street names are virtually non-existent.

The staff is super nice, professional and will go out of their way to assist you. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Hotel with a centric location. Angel, Gerardo and a youth lady with glasses where very attentive. It's my second time at this hotel.

Old character of building and very nice area

This is a very convince place to stay and very clean, people very pleasant and as a plus we have drinks included in a 24/7 bar, i will definitely book again and will share with friends and family

Everyone was super friendly, room was clean, location was great, good communication. Would definitely recommend!

The hotel is in a good area and it is a handsome property from the outside. From the inside it is very austere and echo-y. The part that really killed it for me was the staff. Completely unprepared to handle anything outside the box. Check-in took more than 15 minutes because the guy at the front desk could not read the number on my credit card, and could not think to ask me to read it to him. Instead he spent 15 minutes furiously emailing his supervisor on how to proceed. I decided to shorten my stay, and again, another employee could not give me a straight answer on whether I would get a refund or not. It took a third employee, who seems to be the only one fit for the hospitality industry to give me a straight answer. The outside facing rooms are pretty loud, and the shower went from boiling hot to cold without touching anything, constantly! In the end, this is not a welcoming property that will make things easy for you. Definitely not a property I would recommend.

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The hotel itself is very beautiful and the architecture gives a very authentic feel to San Juan.

What a perfect stay in old San Juan!!!! The staff and hotel were incredible!, beautiful old building, open bar and wonderful recommendations by staff! Our room was clean and the balcony overlooking the streets and city was amazing! Felt safe with a key code front entrance and easy parking in nearby parking garage. Can walk to everything! We will be back!!!

Great Service great location great drinks amazing Staff

Convenient old town location very walkable. Noisy at night from nearby bars and restaurants. Ac broke so i had to switch to a smaller room. There was hair in the bed and on the floor- not very clean. Shower was not hot the first night. Took an earlier shower second night and it was hot. Nice staff. Drinks available anytime and they will microwave food for you on request. Small fridge in room.
