Found the staff very helpful, nothing was a trouble for them. Breakfast very nice and room very cosy. Happy camper 🎇

Good overnight stay, highly recommended.

Perfect location for visit to highclere castle just off A34 spacious car park my wife and I stayed for just a night the room was very quirky wasn't sure about bathtub in bedroom but also a lovely shower was in the ensuite all amenities in room great everything clean,all the staff were friendly and very helpful food was spot on would definitely stay again

Everything was brilliant. Starting from staff, dinner was unbelievable nice, breakfast even better. Cant fault it to be honest

Room was like a Sauna and had 2 fans in there but hardly slept all night as it was so warm. Carpet was awful which had stains everywhere. No iron or ironboard, poor menu no milk in the room which they put outside my door sometime after 10.30 in the night as it was there in the morning. This is a really nice place to be fair and staff were great but needs some attention made to the points I’ve made

Room - Our room was not that clean and it had to be vacuumed. It had sloping ceilings over the bed and in the bathroom so there was a lot of head banging. The bed was comfortable. The room faced the main road and was very noisy throughout the day and night, especially as it was hot so we had to leave the window open, no air conditioning/fan. A member of staff let themselves into our room on the second day whilst we were in bed, shocking. Food & Drink - The restaurant and bar was in a nice setting and had good outdoor space. My fish was overcooked. Husband had a burger which was very nice. Not much choice in beer or gin. They said they had run out of a few beers. Breakfast was very good. Staff - The staff were very pleasant and helpful. WiFi signal not good EV charging was available, easy to use.

Only thing I would suggest is that the rooms have a mini fridge

We only stayed for one night but were very impressed with this pub/hotel. It exudes quality and interest. The ambiance is excellent. All the staff we met were very welcoming and professional. The food was lovely. Will definitely stay again if down this way.

Nice room if a little hot, air con would really help ! But otherwise faultless, great value for money and lovely people. Have already booked my next trip

Dogs welcome and treated so well with their own bed, blanket and bowl with free treats and no restrictions on where we could eat or drink. Lovely staff. And delicious food. Our room had everything you could need with a sweet balcony to sit outside. Highly recommend staying here - Max was outstanding. Thank you.

Fantastic food with breakfast a stand out

A very warm welcome from all staff. Fantastic food at dinner and good breakfast. Clean and well equipped room.

The rooms are beautifully presented and the amenities were really nice. For a travel stop it was very convenient and the staff are friendly. The carpets in the rooms are suffering from wear and tear and could do with a better clean. The rooms needs a bit more of a clean in general. The shower also started dripping in both rooms (which were at other ends of the property) at around 3am which woke us up. We found it a bit strange to be put in rooms in completely different buildings despite booking together and sharing a last name. My mum was on the ground floor room and found it very noisy. The stay was perfectly fine but I think it depends on which room you get.
