En general, esta bien para pasar unas noches, dormir y tomar una ducha e ir a explorar la ciudad. En mi caso con el cuarto privado estuvo bien, buena cocina con todo lo que se necesita, el baño estuvo limpio en todo momento, mi unica queja seria que el temporizador que le tienen a la luz del baño dura unos pocos segundos y si no te mueves se apagan las luces, del resto cumplio mis expectativas.

the air conditioning did not work. the shower head had a mind of its own. the room smelled of mildew. no place to hang clothes up in.

It wasn’t mentioned in the expedia reservations that the double room has shared bathroom and showers and I was surprised when I checked in. There’s no lock on the shower doors anyone can open it while you’re in! The room and sheets were clean but it needs to clearly be mentioned in English that these are shared bathrooms. With the amount I paid ($180 for a night) I could have booked a better place with private shower and bathroom

Located in a busy area of Madrid which is great. I can’t believe though that hostels in Madrid are so expensive. Regarding this property I didn’t care much for the staff because they tended to treat everyone like they were 11 years old like you were disturbing the peace if you were up at 2 am and had to use the bathroom

Close to the centre

There was an ungodly smell of dead feet throughout the rooms. Turning on the fan seemed to make it worse. My room was super cold. My son's room was super hot. The front desk staff tried to placate me and told me they tried and tried to clean out the smell after a previous occupant had stunk it up, but couldn't get rid of the smell.! Why did they rent it to me if they knew it was that bad? Why didn't they refund me my money when I wanted to leave early? They kept saying they needed to talk to the manager, but that conversation apparently never happened. We had to book another hotel because we couldn't sleep at this one - the smell was that bad.

We arrived at the Hotel in the evening, the front door was locked and we had to wait a while for someone to let us in. The reception only speak Spanish, we do not but we got by. The receptionist took us to our ‘room’, IT IS NOT A ROOM, IT IS A BOX WITH A BED INSIDE! We booked a room not a bunk. There is no room around the bed at all, therefore no room for luggage etc. The electricity in ‘the room’ did not work, no lighting at all and no power. The ‘room’ had a very unpleasant odour, we could not stay in this ‘room’. We advised the staff we could not stay, as I say they do not speak English and we do not speak Spanish. I immediately booked another hotel on hotels.com. The next morning I contacted hotels.com as I could not get to speak to anyone at the hotel who could speak English. After many calls with hotels.com they advised they would look into this for me and get back to within 72hrs. After 24hrs hotels.com came back to me to advise they could not get the Modular Suites hotel to agree to a refund and they have now closed the matter. Unbelievable!!!!’

Bed is good but the washroom and shower were the smallest and narrrowest I ever used.

It is a great option for those who would like to be near the center of the city, have a secure place to stay, and plan on being out of the room to explore more than in the room.

I think I made a big mistake when I reserved this hotel. I don't know if I was distracted but when I got there I found out that I did not have a real room ; it was just a something like a big locker, a whole in the wall where they have accomodated a bed and another medium size locker for my suitcase. I think this information was not clear when I made the reservation. As soon as I saw that I left and did not stay there. A refund would be welcome!

Absolutely superb! Both the owner and the manager were really kind and welcoming. Everything was spotlessly clean - the rooms, showers and kitchen. Great amenities in the kitchen and really thoughtful touches e.g napkins, jam. Thank you Modular Hostels for a great stay!!

Great place to land in Madrid! Clean, tidy, and friendly staff!

I really like my stay here. The Modular room we had was very comfortable. The communal facilities were very clean. The kitchen area was excellent. We did find it get a bit warm in our cabin but overall this was an excellent place to stay. It was also close to the centre and next to underground station.
