The location was great! The staff were friendly and accomodating. Very nice hotel! We overslept since we'd had a huge travel day, and although we were late checking out, the staff were very understanding and didn't charge us extra.

We enjoyed our stay very much and will come back!

It was fine. The room was clean, the service was good, there was a good selection for breakfast. However, we could not get an electric kettle for tea. The front desk told us to use water from the coffee Machine, but that does not work well. We were able to get electric kettles in every other hotel we stayed in in Switzerland.

Great sized, immaculate designer rooms

Very close to Marks Plaza, the bridge, tram/transit pass included [good idea], short trip to train station Basel SSB, 4 or 14. Free borrowing of umbrellas, very close to farmers market [mornings]. All of Swiss-land is expensive

Great location to walk out the door and go explore. Restaurant attached had great food and drinks and don’t forget to go to the rooftop or to the sauna downstairs! Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend this hotel!!

Property is Ok, but like staying at a Holiday Inn, but I’ve stayed at better Holiday inns. Very expensive .

Good location lovely decor great staff and helpful

Hotel was amazing. Top notch. Customer service was great, room was large and clean. We also used the wellness spa (sauna and steam room). Bohemia is the restaurant next door where breakfast was included. Typical European breakfast but good quality. You also get passes to use the transit system around town for free.

Very accessible to old town and public transportation.

Great location and service

We had a very good stay at hotel Marthof. My only objection is that the twin beds were very narrow and undersized.. It would be nice to have two full-size beds in a room and also I did not get a bathtub although I had asked for one. The staff was wonderful and the hotel is clean and well located with good service

My superior room was great with lots of bench and storage space and located very closely to the Old Town. I'll stay there again.

Lovely hotel in the heart of town. Great service all around and front desk staff extremely helpful. Room and bathroom clean. Room well equipped to charge all electronics. Only used restaurant for breakfast; both buffet and a la carte choices were good. Nice bar area. Would definitely stay again for all these reasons.

A beautiful building, tastefully updated in the best location in Basel. Was a nice surprise to get the VIP of the day treats. The plate of seasonal fruits and the hand written postcard are those little things that make the difference. Sending over 200 nights a year in 4 or 5 stars hotel in Europe and the USA I AM pretty sure excelente is on the detalles. Our room, overlooking the Rathaus and Markolatz was superb. Great amenities from Molton Brown. Special thanks to the Dominican lady taking care of our room every day and to David, at front desk for his effort to try get a parcel delivered to me. No luck at all with PDP but he was very kind and did his best. Despite not having an indoor pool at the spa, the top floor terrace with 360 degree views of the city is superb. Breakfast is delicious too. Would definitly come again and highly recomend Maerthof Hotel.

Very clean room and room was very nice. Very walkable area close to shopping.

Lovely

This was an amazing hotel. From the time we were greeted to the time we left. They helped us with renting E-Bikes and gave us a map. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The restaurant and breakfast in the morning was wonderful. I would highly recommend staying there.
