Beautiful hotel. Great staff

My stay at Casa Don Luis was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel has a beautiful and charming structure that blends colonial architecture with modern touches. It offers a truly peaceful and private atmosphere, something that can be rare in Cartagena’s historic center. I was able to rest without any noise — an absolute luxury in such a vibrant city. The cleanliness throughout the property was impeccable — from the rooms to the common areas, everything was spotless and carefully maintained. The breakfast was varied and delicious, offering both local and international options, beautifully presented and served in a cozy setting. I want to highlight the outstanding service I received from José Visbal and Eduardo Galindo. Their kindness, attention to detail, and professionalism truly made my stay unforgettable. I highly recommend Casa Don Luis to anyone looking for quality lodging, genuine rest, and top-tier service in Cartagena. I’ll definitely return.

The resort is beautiful. The beach and water are beautiful too. Great service, beautiful view from my room. Highly recommended. Cons? It’s Cartagena, it means happiness, music, warmth people, smiles. I know it’s a French hotel, but hello, the hotel is in Colombia. Tourists want to feel their culture. Employees are too serious and saying madame all the time sounds ridiculous. Not their fault, obviously it’s what they need to do. Music (of course only from the hotel) at the beach would give a nice Caribbean touch. Also, the cocktails (not cheap at all) had little alcohol) The rest, the hotel is amazing. I will come back.

Warm and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Our room had an amazing bathroom but it was very dark - I wish I had asked for a room with an exterior window.

Property was absolutely beautiful

My recent stay at the Hotel Casa Don Luis By Faranda Boutique in Cartagena was truly wonderful. The hotel was exceptionally clean, which made for a very comfortable and pleasant environment. The staff were incredibly helpful, always going the extra mile to ensure a great experience. And the food was absolutely delicious – a real highlight of my visit! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a fantastic experience in Cartagena.

El hotel es muy bonito, el personal súper servicial; siempre están al pendiente de ti, en todos los pisos hay agua saborizada, se agradece con el calor que hace, cada tanto dejan un bocadillo en la habitación para conocer los dulces típicos cartageneros. Destaco la gran atención de José en la recepción, juan y Eduardo en el restaurante. Mi familia quedó muy contenta, esperamos regresar.

We love the hotel, very unique, beautiful,clean, nice room size , friendly staff, great service, good breakfast included and the food in the Italian restaurant is delicious. There’s a terrace with jacuzzi and lounges to relax, pool in the first floor and an elegant speakeasy bar. We recommend this hotel 100%

Best stay!!!!

The lobby is very nice and the room size is excellent. We had problems with the hot water that took a day to sort out. Bed and bedding was very comfortable and the bathroom huge. The disconcerting thing is that the room has a window that looks into a fldark hallway. Therefore there was no natural lighting in the room. I believe that should be advertised as it important to me. Breakfast was ok.

Fabulous location. Decorated beautifully, helpful staff and great location within the walled city. The best thing is that they have the most comfortable bed which is so hard to find when you stay at hotels. Reserve without a doubt. It won’t disappoint

Very confortable place to stay , staff if extremely friendly and goes above and beyond for the guests . Will return !

Overall we enjoyed our stay but our stay was tainted by the fact that the airline deleted our tickets so we were a day and a half late arriving. Considering all that we went through, the hotel would not consider comping our first night that we missed through no fault of our own…or anything for that matter. The breakfast was good but not fabulous. The property is unique with a very zen vibe (think Middle Eastern flavour). The staff were lovely and very service oriented. The location within the walled city was very convenient with lots of nightlife and restaurants on your doorstep.

Hotel was beautiful and staff was very professional. The style of hotel is very nice and location is great inside the walled city. The only thing I didn’t like is that my room had no door for the bathroom. If that is important to you, like most people, you should confirm that your room has a door for the bathroom.

Staff was very professional and knowledgeable of they area and arranging transportation.
