We luckily got a discounted price to stay here near the end of the Cherry Blossom season (mid April). Overall a great experience! Here are some highlights: - The Double Bed Room (with Bathtub) comes with an entrance way, a designated space for shoes and coats. We were given yukata sets (including the outer, tabi socks and Japanese sandals!) to wear outside of the room and pajamas for room use. The bedroom is relatively small, but well decorated. It would be best to only bring a small suitcase while staying in this type of room, as our big luggage took up most of the walking floor space. - The hotel gives 1 free drink coupon a day to be exchanged in the Rooftop at a specific time, where there is also a warm footbath and amazing view of the Kyoto City. There is also a complimentary drink and popsicles bar in the 9th floor lobby. - Location is quite central as it is close to malls (Takashimaya, etc), shopping districts, and Gion. The hotel is also near the Kawaramachi station and Shijo-Kawaramachi bus stops. - The room comes with free onsen bath in the 9th floor, separated by gender. You can check the crowd level of these baths via your room TV. - Coin laundry, vending machine, and smoking room available in the basement. Please be mindful that there are only 2 sets of washing machine and dryer, so there could be a queue to use the laundry during peak season/hour. The reception will store your clothes if you don't remove it on time, to respect the next guests wanting to use the laundry machines.

Beautiful onsen, lovely rooftop bar with a gorgeous view. Good location. Nice room.
