Very pleased I picked The New Inn to stay. It’s a proper country pub with its own brewery in a proper country setting. As you can imagine the beer was excellent, and the food first class. The room was lovely, clean, and airy with a comfortable bed. Will definitely stay again as we still have much to see in the surrounding areas, and I couldn’t ask for s better base to do this.

Needs new mattress, shower was either cold or scorching, and the walls were thin, but lovely pub, great food, great value. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beer was great too, great location too

Despite my rating i would like to say I would stay here again and would recommend. The location is excellent, parking plentiful and staff are brilliant. The breakfast is absolutely faultless and was really superb. These make up for most of the short falls. Rooms (especially bathrooms) could do with some upgrading as they are very dated and tired. If you shower at the time as other people the water is scalding or freezing which isn't too pleasant. Worst for us was the fact the heating was still on despite the fact it was 20+ degrees. Even with all the windows open (which let in noise obviously) it was stifling. Also the mattresses were really soft will springs very easily felt. That said, our room was clean and spacious enough, house keeping extremely efficient and we did enjoy our stay.

It was super clean, great food and had everything we needed

Stayed one night on the cottage. Wonderful period property and very comfortable. Best sofa bed I have ever slept on. The pub was great, busy and and a great atmosphere with the food being excellent. One of the most perfectly cooked steaks we have experienced with all other items perfect too. Great local ales from their own brewery too.

Everything was excellent. Room lovely comfy warm. Shower easy to use. Dinner was fab and delicious as was the lager. I tried it as I don’t drink but thirsty. Great. Breakfast was great too especially fried bread. Overall I would def. Go back without hesitation. Staff brilliant thanks to all.

Very dog friendly. A bit too much so for me in a small bar. I am slightly allergic to dogs but ok if not in close proximity.

Food not good. They said breakfast was 8:15 but because we had a dog it was in the bar which was fine but we never got served. We had to catch the train so did not have a lot of time so all that was available was some packages of Alpen and orange juice. Another couple told us the same had happened to them. They were going to find some help but we did not have any longer. The dinner the previous evening was not good. Cottage was great especially with a dog. Lovely area. I would not recommend this Inn.

An excellent and typically quaint English pub. It has it's own micro-brewery too. Charming en-suite accomodation and very hearty breakfast. The 'full Yorkshire breakfast' is highly recommended.

Pleasant, traditional pub with its own brewery. Evening meal was classic pub fare, home cooked. Breakfast also traditional but hearty!

Positives - The ladies serving breakfast were so friendly and chatty and the breakfast was lovely. Other than that the rooms could really do with some TLC and the guy at the bar seemed to not want to be there at all. We were really appalled at the state of the kettle and bathroom. We wouldn't stay here again.

Room was comfortable and location good for getting around the Yorkshire Moors. Breakfast and pub food was very good. Would stay here again.
