Our stay at The Tsubaki Tower was lovely. The room was spacious, brand new, and luxurious, with a breathtaking view. The staff were friendly, polite, and welcoming throughout our stay.
The infinity pool was relaxing, and the location is excellent—walking distance to shops and restaurants. The gym was usable but felt stuffy and warm, while La Cantina rooftop bar had good service and music, but the air-conditioning was extremely cold.
Breakfast was the area most needing improvement—quality, presentation, and delivery did not reflect a high-end luxury hotel. Housekeeping was also inconvenient; our room was cleaned very late each day. We were out in the morning and back in the afternoon, yet the room was still messy, making it hard to rest or take a nap before dinner.
Room rates during Christmas were nearly three times higher than usual, which felt excessive given some services still needed improvement.
I was surprised by the policy on special celebrations. With luxury hotels like Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, or Shangri-La, small complimentary gestures for birthdays or anniversaries—petals or cake—are usually offered. At Tsubaki Tower, even simple arrangements cost $50–$150 plus extra for cake, so I chose not to proceed.
Despite these points, they were minor compared to our overall stay. It was still enjoyable, and The Tsubaki Tower remains a beautiful hotel with great potential.
