The place is small and quaint. Very clean. The bed just sucked me in and i had an awsome nights sleep. The manager was awsome. Had awful problem getting the money i paid to Hotels.com to pay the hotel. Was able to get part paid and i had to pay the rest. Hotels.com owes me money. The next person that was checking in had the same problem but worse.

This is a small town, but this motel had furnishings like home. Very nice, clean, large bathroom and good shower. But I'm not a fan of window a/c units. And the shutters over the unit... while creating privacy also blocked the air. I would stay here again. Nice quiet town. Couple of good restaurants.

Best night of rest we have had in a while. We absolutely loved the room and location.

Quaint friendly wonderful bed

Very basic. Few amenities. Carpets were old, stained, and there was a smell of mildew in the room. Bathroom floods when showering.

A very clean, convenient place to stay. Everyone was super friendly and went above and beyond. The restaurant next door (owned by the same people) was yummy.

The staff was very personable and accommodating. They took time to talk with our grandsons and made a great impression on them.

My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. It was a great home base while we explored local trails and Grandfather mountain. The employees are all friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the bed was the comfiest thing ever. Our stay was quiet, exactly what we needed and over all I would definitely return for another mountain adventure!

The owners/proprietors/managers are the BEST ever. Friendly, hospitable, check-in super easy, rooms are clean, and honestly, we sat out by the fire and felt like we had been friends with them for an eternity. I have no doubt that we will return.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was one of the cleanest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Overall it was a great experience and I would stay there again.

Clean property, nice check in clerk

I had rented a premium room and when i called the hotel to let them know i was going to be late getting there i was told they would leave the key in the room and leave the room unlocked and then gave me the room number. This was fine with me. Well i then received a call saying that the room they gave me was wrong and that they would have to change it, do to the fact someone was sleeping in it. They had no more premium rooms and would have to downgrade me. And they had no upgrades to give me. This frustrated me some do to the fact that me and my wife was trying to get away to the mountains for the weekend.

This is more of a travelers’ inn, but it is possibly the nicest I’ve ever stayed at.

Staff were helpful and friendly! This is a quiet/peaceful small inn. Clean and spacious room! Will definitely stay again if ever in the area.
