I booked a B & B as advertised on Expedia!! When learning there was no breakfast, i spoke to the owner. He took no responsibility for the false advertising saying that it was Expedia's fault. He said he has told them many times. He said they have not had breakfast in 3 years. On Expedia , it is listed as a b&b with photos showing the breakfast area as well as reviews from guests about their breakfast. VERY VERY POOR ADVERTISING from Expedia and the owner!! Can be characterized as fraud by both parties.....

Upon arrival the parking is a bit narrow but definitely manageable. Checking is simple and well communicated by the hotel via email, and WhatsApp. There is no staff to welcome which was known to us so no complaints there. The rooms were cozy and clean when we arrived and good wifi as well. Bathroom was clean and in good condition. Also breakfast was no longer available but again we knew that so it did not bother us. The lodge is a 10-15 minute walk into town with a shop in between that so it's handy and avoids having to drive through Westport which can be a nightmare. Great views as well on the walk to the hotel. Checking out was very simple as well. For the price compared to every other place in Westport this place is a no brainer, it delivers on everything available, a comfy bed, a clean room and bathroom.

Tidy room, good king bed. The room was everything we needed. 18min walk to town center was good. No AC but a fan would have been nice. Thin walls.

The property was stunningly attractive. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. To get to town was a twenty minute walk where all the eateries and shops and bars were. I ended up getting a taxi back on three occasions as it was mostly uphill on the return. Then again I am over seventy years old.

Loved the property, I was just disappointed and stressed that I wasn't advise that I needed a code to access the property, I couldn't get hold of Expedia when I arrived at 8pm, only for my daughter Googleing the property owner, who very kindly told us the code, and advised that this sometimes happens when booked through 3rd party,.

Paying for the stay but no real amenities or staff interaction. It was fine for my purposes, but I didn’t require much.

Beautiful, private home with spacious rooms. Convenient for exploring the area. The owners were friendly and informative.

The room was smaller than expected.

We had a nice stay here. Loved Westport. Easy to walk downtown from the location. Many great options for restaurants and pubs. Room was too hot with no way to control the heat, but were able open the windows to make it comfortable.

Lovely, comfortable lodge. Offering daily change of towels, soaps and housekeeping. Instant-coffee, tea and biscuits along with a kettle were provided in the room. This lodge was not in a convenient location if you wanted an easy walk to shops and restaurants/ pubs. After hiking all day, we were a bit weary to walk the 15-20 min into town and back for an evening meal. Breakfast is not provided so one would have to walk or drive into town. There were no facilities to make your own. A 15-20 min walk would normally not be an issue for us but our time was short.

Lock box check in, emailed instructions on morning of stay, instructions stated room on first floor, however the room was on ground floor

This room was grossly overpriced and the previous good reviews were extremely misleading. There was no breakfast which we were informed about by email once we had already confirmed and paid. The key was in a key safe so we never met the supposedly wonderful and helpful hosts. The room was clean and the beds not uncomfortable but the shower was terrible. A tiny cubicle (approximately 70 cm square internally) and very difficult to control the water temperature. Noticed too late that the rave reviews were all from 2023 or earlier. No reviews at all in 2024! These old reviews should be removed from the website as they do not apply to what is currently on offer.
