Located in the city centre, it’s perfect if you want to be really closed to the main attractions within a few minutes by walk. Staff is simply amazing. Really friendly and helpful. Rooms are also good, but they might be improved by considering a few little upgrades and accessories. Recommended

I stayed here for two nights at the start of my trip in Tunisia. First of all, the location is perfect - 5 mins walk to the beach, 3 mins walk to the medina, there is decent food pretty much next door, a small but basic shop exactly opposite for essentials, also decent coffee 1 minute walk on the same street. Secondly, I actually didn’t mind my stay here. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was basic, but they made it seem better with a few decor choices. It had a small balcony, the shower worked more than alright and was warm as it was cold outside in winter. The bed was comfortable enough for me to sleep on. So yeah I wouldn’t say it was a bad stay. But, for the negative points. The hotel is a smoking hotel, so if you don’t smoke or you are not used to that, then it might not be for you as the hallways have ashtrays and I’m sure people are smoking in the other rooms however, my room did not smell of smoke and there was a ‘clean’ ashtray in there. So not a problem really. Another point was soundproofing. The first night I arrived there was a mega thunder and lightning storm with heavy heavy rain that lasted for 14 hours straight, so being on the third floor out of four, the bangs of thunder stayed right above the hotel the whole time, no jokes, I feel like I was sleeping on the roof it was that intense. Anyway, the first night doesn’t count because that was extreme nature. The second night though, unfortunately I’d say once an hour there are people in the street below, possibly from small shops around that seem to enjoy sparking up loud conversations. Not the hotels fault, it’s just these people are inconsiderate when it’s late, also some weird noises from cats. The bathroom is more of a wet room, but they give you a squeegee mop to clear the water away so that’s fine. So in brief, a good basic and affordable stay if you aren’t someone who needs much. It was what I needed it to be other than the noise on the second night. Sorry for the long one, just want to be honest 👍🏼

Ideally situated in central Sousse, a few minutes walk to the beach, the Medina and right on top of many great restaurants and coffee shops. The hubbub and noise of the city was one of our favourite parts of our stay and chilling out at the end of a busy day exploring, with the balcony door open, hearing locals chatting, wafts of music floating in was really comforting and homely-feeling. The staff at the front desk greeted us each time we left or arrived back, and we felt that we were looked after in this way. The recommendation for local restaurant was also great, and by the third day we felt really at home, and settled. The room was clean and obviously recently redecorated. We felt it was traditional enough to give us a flavour of local decorative taste. Our holiday was about getting to know the place not in a shiny resort, to interact with local people and support local trades and economy, and staying here enabled us to do that perfectly. Local spots we loved: La Caleche restaurant (practically next door). Little corner shop opposite for water and sweet snacks. Presse Cafe - great coffee just round the corner. Visited them frequently! Street food place next to the Change on the main street -excellent tabouna and Lebanese flatbread. 3am Salem - Street vendor selling gorgeous sweet treats (Pistachio Libanese-yum) across the main road, near the theatre. We visited all the Instagram spots such as El Seles, Café Ajdad, Restaurant Du Peuple and Cafe Kasbah and enjoyed the food immensely everywhere we went. Portions are huge and it's good, home cooked meals, always with added bread, olives, salad, samosas, harissa and oil dip. The train station is also within easy reach of Hotel Monia and we made sure to make the most of the insanely cheap transport to visit Monastir on a day when we felt we needed a more chill experience. The one thing that would've made the room even better would have been the provision of a little kettle so we could have made tea for ourselves in the mornings. In general, Sousse is a very smoky place. EVERYONE smokes, everywhere, indoors and out. We found this really difficult at times very devout non smokers but we learned to time our evening meals slightly earlier to avoid lots of people smoking during mealtimes. That said, the hotel wasn't smoky, except when smoke wafted in from the street when we had our balcony door/window open, but this wasn't for long or repeated much and it didn't smell of smoke inside at all. No air freshener smell either to mask it, just neutral.

The room was clean and spacious, with a mini fridge and a functioning AC altough a bit loud, the reception guy is really nice and helpful. The only issue was the bathroom window wich was facing another one and was see through, the door knob also made me feel less safe since it doesn't lock from the inside. I strongly suggest for owner to upgrade door locks and to install privacy films on the toilets windows.

I booked this hotel through booking for 3 nights. However, the shower was very near toilet with no seperation so it splended everywhere. The towels were so old and not clean. I changed my hotel the day after that. With the same price one can find better optiond.There was no lift. The location was great and staff were super friendly
