Room was decent and clean. Only negative we found was the bed was very uncomfortable. You could feel every spring in the bed. You could hear every movment from the corridor. Drunk people at 2 am shouting in the corridor to. The cooked breakfast was luke warm. Limited items included on the cooked breakfast. We was lucky that hash browns were served on that particular morning. Indoor pool is why we chose this hotel which was great. Staff were all friendly.

Food excellent. Good choice for all meals . Not too many to choose from but tasty fresh food . Staff very friendly working really hard . Reception staff wonderful explained everything. Stayed all in-inclusive . Such good value extra touch was a bingo ticket and a tram travel token included too . The bar area restaurant and seating clean and modern . Stayed in a standard twin room very basic but clean . Room too hot tho, there was a fan which helped a tad . Outdoor heated pool with sun loungers really good . Indoor pool , jacuzzi heated good too . There was a steam room and sauna which we used needs updating and a good clean to be honest . Due to school holidays seemed busy . Evening entertainment pretty good . Trams running every 15 mins outside the hotel easy to jump on and jump off wherever you want to go . Overall a good value hotel and a great place to stay . Will comeback sometime in the future .

We stay at the Doric most summers. Pros from this year's stay: Our room was spacious (2x double beds) Outdoor heated pool Indoor pool (although quite strong chemical odour) Food was good, big improvement on last time we were half board. Kids entertainment generally (first few days with new pair of hosts very good, however nights 3 and 4 were catered only to older kids and host was unhelpful and rude which was disappointing). Staff were helpful. Cons: Rooms very hot. Room on first floor was noisy due to entertainment downstairs. Lift is almost impossibly small and therefore busy. Room cleanliness could be better but not terrible.

Room was perfect for myself and 6 year old grandson very clean and everything we needed , staff work very hard and are very friendly, we went half board and I can honestly say its the best food I've ever had in a hotel ! The only criticism I had was the cleanliness of the indoor pool ( didn't use outdoor was to busy ) the surrounding area around the pool was very dirty and pool floor seemed very slippy like there was some kind of film on it

Great hotel I've stayed 100s of times over the years. My only criticism is I booked all inclusive because I was on a budget and they took 100 pound deposit from me I wasn't aware of upon booking. I left last Monday and it still hasn't hit my bank account yet

Great hotel , the all inclusive not really worth it , id advise the breakfast and dinner package for half the price . Was too far away from centre to come back for the light lunch, and the spirits were clearly watered down.

Had a nice stay. Food and staff were fantastic. Would highly recommended. And will definately return for another stay.

Great hotel, kids loved the swimming pool and we enjoyed a lovely lunch at the bar. Staff very helpful - ideal location directly across from the tram stop.

Hotel was clean, food was good. Staff were excellent. Rooms were ok but the beds were really uncomfortable. Spa and pool were good. Parking is a nightmare. Be careful driving into the parking lane, I damaged my car going through the entrance. Would definitely go back. Kids entertainment is 8 until 10 which I thought was a bit late for kids

Room spotless Staff wonderful and helpfull bar , restaurant, reception. Breakfast cooked fresh to order. Dinner excellent choices and good quality. Limited drinks on all inc package but we'll worth it as drinks are expensive.

Great hotel, staff, breakfast.

Room was relatively well-kept. The shower was nice, though slightly difficult to use. Nothing terrible of note. It is fairly far from points of interest and the breakfast wasn’t great for the price. I would skip breakfast if I were to stay here again.

We had a lovely few days at the Doric, staff were lovely and very helpful. The entertainment was excellent, we enjoyed the outdoor and indoor pools and breakfast was lovely too

We had a sea view room. It was clean and the beds were really comfortable. Staff were welcoming and friendly. I think it should be mentioned that the carpark is alongside the hotel and you need to leave your car keys with reception if you use it. There is parking in front of the hotel and down the side roads but I imagine this gets used quickly during school holidays and weekends. Don’t let this detract from the positives though…staff were friendly, room was clean and comfortable beds. The breakfast was lovely as well…fresh fruit, cereals and yogurts. A few selections for cooked breakfasts were available and all cooked freshly to order. Would definitely stay again when in the area

For the price we paid I can’t complain at all, the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The room was all though a little dated was kept clean and the beds comfortable. Our breakfast was included in the price and had everything for all tastes. The only thing that let it down was the swimming pool looking like it needs an update as tiles looking old and off coloured. All in all a place we all said we would go and will be going back too.
