nice country pub, staff was friendly and the food good. The room was small and needed some updating in the bathroom.

Quirky room, room 3 with a low ceiling. Staff obviously mindful of the hot weather placed a fan in the room, really appreciated, great cooked breakfast in the morning and very good value for what we needed. We did have 1 very minor issue which we passed on, so hopefully that can be addressed for the future. Overall a resnable stay and adequate for or needs, the cooked breakfast stood out as the USP.

The Queens was a little gem in the countryside. The staff was friendly and helpful. Dinner was excellent and far exceeded normal pub fair. The room was small but well appointed and clean. The location was great for visiting Hadrian's Wall. Breakfast was also quite nice.

One of my favourite hotels. Excellent service and great food. I will definitely be back.

The room was clean and tidy, unfortunately the shower cubicle was a bit rickety and I struggled with the taps. I also noticed that the windows in our room were not double glazed.

Very nice staff. Straight forward public house atmosphere. Beer tasting and band playing downstairs well into the evening, but not a significant issue. Nice breakfast and really beautiful surroundings.

A pub restaurant with rooms located close to Carlisle which was ideal for work location for me. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. The restaurant food is delicious and the service very good too. On site parking in a rural setting just a nice place to stay and/or dine out.

Lovely staff, nothing too much trouble. The place is a real gem, it was our second stay. The building is so beautiful, very cosy.

Plenty of free parking. A quiet night and a pleasant meal.

The gentleman who served me in the restaurant was excellent and made sure I had everything I needed. The food was first class too. I would highly recommend the pie. It was delicious. I would certainly stay there again as it's very quiet but close to the motorway
