A lot of good, but struggled with some availability eg a chef to cook food in the evening and some things at breakfast. Staff generally tried very hard to please.

The bed was too short. the duvet was too thin (cold) and too short. The wifi didn't work. There were no blinds to screen out morning light at 04.00 hrs. The window didn't shut. The coffee machine was unattended and so was not able to produce a cup before my departure. No one aksed me how my stay was!

The staff were fantastic the bar had the orkney and Shetland beers so a plus not much whiskey choice Downside no food on both our nights no warnings first night due to wedding luckily the chip shop cafe cornerstone was open late friday night so super fish and chips next night had to be Chinese takeaway which they allowed us to eat.in hotel but the breakfast was ok good choices and again thr staff super so if you book make sure the chef is alive and well and there

I was disappointed with my return visit to this hotel. My room was clean and comfortable but the noise of the extractor fans in adjacent rooms were noisy and woke me early this morning. Breakfast was slow and made me run late for work that I was travelling for. Lovely location and friendly staff.

Friendly, clean hotel. Lovely location, continental breakfast was included but various cooked options were also available. We ate in the bar one evening and drinks in the bar both evenings we stayed, both very reasonably priced & enjoyable. Mix of locals and hotel guests, good atmosphere. Would recommend and would return.

A fine location for a holiday.

We stayed for a few days while exploring Shetland. Our room was comfortable and warm, with a modern (if snug) en-suite bathroom. The dining room had a good and interesting menu; dinner portions were enormous. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. There was, at times, a little music from the bar audible in the bedroom.

Booked a single room which was quite small but it was exactly as per the photo. The bathroom was quite spacious and very well lit. Extremely clean as was the bathroom. Noise insulation wasn’t great as the room is above the kitchen but I’m used to very quiet living. The dinner menu was varied and the dishes very well presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A shame the breakfast pastries were individually wrapped in plastic and the jams and spreads which I understand to limit food waste; maybe that’s different in high season.

Unfortunately this has been an exceptionally poor experience. The staff were incredibly incompetent and very untidy. Thee evening meals were of a very low quality and prepared unprofessionally. Breakfast was inedible, staff serving in the restaurant didn’t present themselves in a tidy hygienic manner. The bedroom resembled a backpackers hostel. I’m utterly disgusted by the staff, the service and the food.

Smart, well-appointed hotel in a picturesque village. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely a winner.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a good location to visit all area's of Shetland. Good selection for the continental breakfast, and food was excellent for evening meals. Some fixtures and fittings need replacing as they were looking a bit worn in the room we were in, but generally the room was clean and warm.

Nice hotel good food and friendly staff

Very clean and comfortable if noisy twin room, travelled with family and stayed a week. Aye in restaurant, food really nice, bar not so welcoming, not many other places to eat. Great views from the room that made us want to go across the bridge to Burra and Hamnavoe, not disappointed, beautiful part of Shetland. Scalloway is a great location for going anywhere so near to the main roads.

Beautiful large room with view.: #211.comfy bed. Great shower. Tasty continental breakfast included. Ate tasty dinner in restaurant and bar-- including vegetarian option. Efficient, friendly staff. Convenient free parking. Highly recommend.

The furnishing and comfort of my room rate an excellent. The food was also very good. However the staff, though willing when tracked down and friendly, are in serious need of training in customer relations.

Lovely peaceful spot on the waterfront. Very comfortable room with a well equipped ensuite. Nice pub and a dining room in the hotel. Good food at both. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This was a delightful hotel ,our bed was comfortable and slept no issues Extremely quiet and off street parking was available next to hotel The food was great and offered a bar menu or dining room menu bar food was great .you can have a full cooked breakfast(extra ) or continental in cluded inroom price .large selection of cereal fruit and toast The staff were extremely good and helpful and service was fast .no issues staying here and would use again
