We enjoyed staying at the Hotel Rous. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was outstanding and there was a beautiful terrace on the city wall to enjoy it. The people were very nice and willing to really take care of us! The hotel is a block from the main Square, and there are plenty of restaurants to enjoy. The underground tour was a short walk from the hotel. The only thing I would have to agree with other reviewers is that it could use a little facelift. We would highly recommend that you stay there.

Excellent little hotel, only qualm (not hotels fault and they did warn us) was the road construction so access was quite difficult

Great central location off the main square and within walking distance of the Pilsener Urquell brewery. Great front desk service to the point where the clerk hopped in our car and guided us to free public parking. Spacious room, nice breakfast included « of course ».

Check in is a bit of a chore, but it works out if you are instructed how to do it beforehand. Never been to a hotel where you call in to check in until this one. Great location, good breakfast, and good rooms.

When I turned up, they had no trace of my reservation, even though I had been receiving all the usual emails from hotels.com, even the one on 'how was your check-in?'. I feel I'd been double-booked or bumped.

Very hot room and very noisy. No way to cool down the room. Attic type windows - VERY noisy street when opened.
Mattress was worn out it felt like - thin and very poor.
Breakfast was great

Small local hotel right next to square and not far from Pilsner brewery. Easy walking distance to all of Plzen. Very European hotel, no air conditioning, but fans provided in room. Breakfast at the cafe next door is included.

Very close to main plaza with nice cafe & restaurant. You can enjoy unfiltered bear.
The hotel staff will explain the best restaurant kindly.
They also provide homemade breakfast making you feel at home. If you are leaving hotel very early in the morning like 5 o'clock, they specially prepare the breakfast and lunch pack as well.
They are like considering customers as family members.

We arrived during the heat wave and were horrified to find out the hotel does not have an A/C. Little we knew we were put in the attic room with roof windows. We asked if they had a different room, but was told no. My partner is 6''1' and could not walk around the whole room due to the very low eaves. The lift takes you to the 3rd floor only and then we had to still climb two sets of quite steep stairs into our room. As I am pregnant and in a need of some comfort I did not enjoy this hotel experience at all. Not to even mention little things like missing wooden rails on the banister (in our room as well as in other floors of the hotel). The screws sticking out of the metal cut my hand on the first day. Other little things like no lock inside the bathroom, but placed on the outside of the bathroom left me puzzled. And have I even mentioned there was no shower? Only a small (and narrow) bath where you could not stand. My partner (6''1') had a great difficulty there! I stay in Pilsen regularly but I am sorry to say I won't be coming back.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were pleasant and attentive, the room stylish, comfortable, and quiet, it was within spitting distance of the main square, and the breakfast spread fresh and tasty. Very nice and good value too.
